2 1/4 inch wide chisel with an overall length of 7 1/2 inches. The chisel comes with a good sharp edge. After splitting over fifty plus bricks for a job is still has a fairly sharp edge. Chisel worked fine has a 5/8 inch shaft. I think the shaft is on the thin side. Priced right and good quality. I always recommend spending the extra few dollars to get the hand protection model. Especially if this is going to be a everyday use item. I have heard many workers complain it doesn’t fit in the tool box but I think that is not a real issue as most masons keep their tools in buckets.
