Even it had a lot of “protection” and “hardness”.I give it 4 stars because I would prefer one with 1 1/2″, but I could not find it.Anyway it is a good item, the guard works fine and the head is strong enough.

I used this chisel to break up a 3 foot section of a broken concrete patio so I could repair a large crack I used a 4 lb sledge to hit it. By the time I was done the chisel was dented and a corner had broken off. The metal was just not up to the task.

Great chisel !!! I had to chip off about 75 square feet of ceramic tile glue from a concrete slab. I tried a lot of different things but they all sucked. I used this chisel and a 40 oz hammer and was able to remove the glue about twice as fast. The hand guard works great … believe me!
