I’m a mechanic amd I use my prybars almost everyday. They withstand being beaten on with a hammer and me putting my whole body weight on them. Great value, great product.

As a heavy diesel mechanic in the rust belt of America, these pry bars are often my best friends. After a few year of use and abuse, they are holding up great in the field. At a fraction of the cost of the tool trucks, while still made in the USA, they are tough to beat. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. If you want to nit pick, the finish on the pry bar portion isn’t as nice as the ones off the trucks, but the finish has held up well on mine for a tool that sees nothing but abuse and comes back for more. The rubber handles have also held up well. I like the thick rubber handles better because it’s easier on the hands for hard prying, most tools truck pry bars are hard handles.

These pry bars are an excellent choice for heavy use. The striker plate on the end of the handle is very nice for driving bar into position. Own Snap On and Matco pry bars also, but purchased this set of 3 for less than the cost of one of the truck brands and they are every bit as solid and durable. The only negative that I have is the softer material handle is harder to wipe down than a solid material but that is not enough for me to detract from the overall quality and value of these tools.

I bought this set to replace a failed Craftsman set. The difference in quality was night and day. This Mayhew set was far far superior in every way and stood up to being hammered on repeatedly. This is how hand tools used to be made in the USA, beefy and made to last. Kudos to Mayhew.

Excellent quality tool. As a diesel mechanic, I put these things to serious use. They haven’t bent, broke, or chipped away at the tip. Its a great tool at a great price.
