I’ve had this point chisel for years, this newer molded plastic handle version is even nicer than the old one. The plastic has saved my hand & fingers many a time! This will break up cement that a sledge hammer won’t even budge. I was recently doing a remodeling job where we had to bring in new plumbing down the wall into the basement. The wall had a 12″ pile of 60 year old cement at the bottom of the wall from the mud tile job that the cement had fallen through the wire lath. The helper tried for 15 minutes with a sledge to break it apart with no luck. I then remembered that I had this tool and in 3 minutes he was able to break up the mass and begin to drill through the wood for the plumbing pipes. It really saved the day! I’ve also used it to break up the cement in a stone wall to re point it. It’s well made & comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

I was trying to break up some rock and this was as close as I could get to a star drill. Since I had already destroyed a carbide tipped drill I thought if I could get into those holes with this I might be able to get a crack. Alas, no crack. It did break up some more of the surface of the stone.
