An electric pole in my neighborhood caught on fire about the time we started the “Shelter-in-Place” and we had a power outage which caused my kitchen stovetop to blow and would not come on. It needed a part. Due to the Corona no parts would be available for some time. So, I ordered the MegaChef 2-bruner stainless steel Infrared Countertop Hot Plate. I received it in about a week, opened the box and set it on the countertop and plugged it in. It is so easy and convenient to use, I may never have my original stovetop fixed. I’m thinking about putting a huge chopping block over it. It exceeds my expectations–I love it.

The Mega Chef portable stove is ok for an efficiency or as an extra burner. I have been using for a couple weeks now. It has been great for every day cooking for me but I do not feel like it gets as hot as I would like it to for cooking certain items. But overall it has been good and it has a great sleek look to it that goes well with my kitchen.
