The fist product Ive bought at b&h Im not happy with. I have given away it, in case of to high freight charges to send back to US from EU. The missing information is, that the cam are not working with a Mac (I have really checked it in front of my order) as a plug and play. The standard view is overexposed and unusable. So you need an additional software, than you can get an usable picture. The resolution of HD is far away. I have done it with webcam settings. But the most trouble I had was with my WEBINAR Software, in Germany there is EduDip frequently used. But this software crashes the delivered pictures to a very small resolution, I think less than 480*xxx. Far away from HD. I have tested my old cam (Logitech 740*480) with webcam settings and I have seen that it has a very important quality upgrade to de delivered picts. So far so good, this is the usable solution for me now, but there is missing the zoom. May be I havent understand something on a technician conception, I want to use it as a professional WEB-cam using for webinars. EB

Got this webcam, at first, was too excited. Try it out. Plug it in to my macbook and using zoom app, was too bright with room light. Was like, okay, maybe there is an adjustment. Doing my research, and found no adjustment. Thats not good. Tried it on my windows 10 lenovo laptop, and still the same. I’ve been playing with it all night, reading manual online and the book come with it and nothing. I can only use it in dark, far light you can make it good color. HD is not even good as my macbook. My laptop Webcam is better than this. . After everything i went through, im done with this. Im returning it.

Works great on my lap top /w dual core prosessor, can’t use HD w/ older pentium 4, couldn’t get it to work at all on my sons home built computer w/ AMD dual core prosessor & firefox. Even without HD I get a really good picture on my pentium 4 so I’m giving it 5 stars

I present dozens of photography webinars each year. Recently, during a demo for cleaning dSLR sensors, I realized my 10 year old VGA webcam was no longer cutting it and replaced it with this. It is amazingly sharp and clear. The autofocus works very well and the white balance is spot on, even in my office with tungsten, CFL and daylight mixed in for seriously ugly light. I can’t comment on the integrated mic because I use a headset and don’t use the mic on the headset. The little testing I’ve done with the mic worked fine.

I use this webcam to cummunicate with family and friends using Skipe, the camera it’s easy to install and use, it give you sharp images and great sound quality, no problems at all so far. No good quality of images when low light conditions.

This is the best webcam I’ve owned. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is clean and clear. I have noticed that it works better directly plugged into a USB port off the motherboard, and not as well using a USB 2.0 extension cable. I’ll be trying a USB 3.0 extension cable soon…

I order this camera and after receiving it discovered that it is not supported by Windows 10. Microsoft last supported this camera for Windows 8. If someone has figured out how to get it to work with Windows 10, please let me know.

Auto focus and auto exposure works well. Colors are good, and resolutions are sharp enough, though there is no real 1080 HD. Installation on a older Intel dual core, with Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate OS was simple enough and without issue, though I noticed start up is noticeably slower by 10-15 seconds. No bloatware that I know was installed.

This is a great little HD webcam. The resolution is awesome with truecolor, and the effects are fun. It fits my needs to make videos for me and friends on the low end. YOUTUBE / FACEBOOK On the downside; Their is no external mic output. So if you are looking for a way to make small video on the low end I recommend the LifeCam Studio.

I use the Canon Vixia HFR10 via a Blackmagic Pro, and that Canon camera doesn’t even come close to the quality of these webcams. So I’m kicking myself for having blown $400 on a single camera when I could have bought several of these for the same price. It simply didn’t hit me that for my webcast and production, I could be using webcams, since some of them, like the Lifecam Studio are SO good these days. I have used the Lifecam Cinema (720p model) since it came out several years back, and it was exceptional. The Lifecam Studio takes it one step further with true 1080p video and very high quality picture. I’d say this is probably not a webcam for novice users. It is a high-quality HD 1080p video camera, and as such requires some level of knowledge and professional (sometimes pricey) software and very good hardware. The auto-focus on Microsoft’s line of Lifecam cameras has been horrible for some time, but anyone who’s experienced with them will tell you, turn off the useless TrueColor technology and set your focus, white balance and exposure manually (like a boss). The other trick with these cameras, like any decent camera for studio use, is that you need to have very good lighting in order to get an acceptable framerate. If you’re in a dark room or using your home lighting, this camera is not for you. You need proper lighting. I use 2 studio lightboxes which are 5500k tri-color. So to summarize: – Looking to make your skype phone calls HD? RTFM, that’s not what this is for, so don’t complain when it comes in at 320×240. The Studio name should give it away. It’s not for you. – Looking to upgrade your YouTube productions or broadcast to HD, this could do the trick, as long as you also invest in the lighting needed, and have the gear to make it happen (eg., even with the included software, you cannot do 1080p; you MUST have a professional production suite).

I purchased 5 of these webcams for my staff, as were just switched the Microsoft Office LYNC video chat system. The picture quality is excellent, the focus time is immediate, the mics are excellent and give the sound like being in the room. Highly recommend this product.
