The LifeCam Cinema WebCam for Business Windows from Microsoft is a compact USB 2.0 camera with a high-quality glass lens that’s great for your business conferencing needs. The autofocus camera can capture 720p HD widescreen video at a fluid 30 frames per second. It uses ClearFrame technology to enhance video recorded in poorly lit environments, and features an integrated digital microphone for audio capture.
The camera’s body is constructed from aluminum, which reduces its weight while at the same time improving its durability. A flexible stand is included, allowing you to position the camera with ease. The Windows Live Call button allows you to launch your favorite video chat or conversation software with ease. The bundled software allows you to apply fun video effects, create your own movies, and upload still photos to the web. The camera is compatible with many popular IM clients, including Windows Live, Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, and Skype.

The video is very crisp compared to my built in web cam. I purchased this to host a ustream.tv web cast and it worked great. Its very wide angle as you would expect with a web. The auto focus is a little bit slow from time to time but it’s very infrequent. On board mic is very sensitive but can be turned down.

I bought this to live-stream a monthly lecture series that I curate/host. I should have read the specs — not compatible with my Mac laptop! (Duh, Joe, microsoft is in the name…) but I was able to connect it to my Lenovo lickety-split. The picture quality was great (better on the backup recording than the livestream, for obvious reasons) and the sound quality was surprisingly good! I already recommended this product to several friends. Great value and quality!

I bought this camera for my 62 year old mother to allow her to video chat with me. The setup was a breeze and it comes with some really fun software that lets you put crazy effects on your head and it tracks your face so it looks like you’re wearing the cheesey afro or cowboy hat etc. It’s really fast and high quality if you don;t use any of the interpolation or light adjustment features, otherwise it’s a little slow to autofocus and adjust for light changes. it is however FAR better than any other desktop webcam at this price range as far as sound and video quality.

The camera was as expected but it was not in the orginal packaging and the CD with the PC software and owners manual were not included. I borrowed the software from another camera owner to compelte the installation.

Installed the camera’s on 2 each Windows 10 systems. I did get a notice that I had to update a file (can’t remember what it was), but all went well. We will mostly use this for Skype, with a Desktop PC. This was a good reminder for my wife to clean up her book case behind her! 🙂
