The LifeCam Cinema WebCam for Business Windows from Microsoft is a compact USB 2.0 camera with a high-quality glass lens that’s great for your business conferencing needs. The autofocus camera can capture 720p HD widescreen video at a fluid 30 frames per second. It uses ClearFrame technology to enhance video recorded in poorly lit environments, and features an integrated digital microphone for audio capture.
The camera’s body is constructed from aluminum, which reduces its weight while at the same time improving its durability. A flexible stand is included, allowing you to position the camera with ease. The Windows Live Call button allows you to launch your favorite video chat or conversation software with ease. The bundled software allows you to apply fun video effects, create your own movies, and upload still photos to the web. The camera is compatible with many popular IM clients, including Windows Live, Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, and Skype.

Webcam came quickly after ordered Easily set up Image quality is higher than some can even receive Primary use is skype: Users report excellent quality, on par or better than isight Low light image is good Does not slow down my computer when used Cons -Autofocus does take a couple seconds occasionally but it’s not bad unless you’re moving through the room constantly Can’t comment on the microphone as I use a headset with it Neutral Stand is not extremely innovative but does what it is designed to do. Can put it on top of monitor or desk easily.

I use this WebCam with Skype. It was easy to load the software and seamless to use, the quality of the picture is amazing. Unfortunately my flat screen HD monitor is a little big in the back so the cameras base cannot be bent enough to keep it fromm moving. Electricains tape did the trick.

Works well for Skype on Windows 7 64. Much better picture and auto low light adjustment than my old Logitech. Also use it to replace dead webcam on HP laptop. Comes with a long cord. Doesn’t keep face centered automatically, though. Nonetheless, it does what I expected, and I would recommend it.

Surprisingly small but that doesn’t affect the quality of the video. The webcam was easy to setup on Windows XP, though it took a while to load Microsoft’s Software (downloading in the background). After extensive research I narrowed it down to the Lifecam and the Logitech 9000. I had read that this offers excellent video quality even in low light conditions – and they’re right. You wont be disappointed.

This is an excellent HD WebCam. No problems what so ever. I’ve heard stories of this camera being a problem with Windows 7. I’ve had none. Plugged it in, auto loaded my Driver and it was up and running. The auto focus is very finicky. It adjusts allot if you move to much. The Background light needs to be low.

Great camera, optimal for low light scenes as well as quality. One issue was the microphone on the camera working with Skype. I have to change inputs for a few seconds and then change it back to the lifecam in order for it to work. Other than that tidbit, excellent product for the money.

I bought it for use as a webcam + microphone for Cortana on a Windows 10 PC. Webcam works very well in video chats using Skype – good picture quality and wide angle of view. Mounts well on the top of a flat screen monitor. Another advantage I see with this webcam is the ability to swing the lens sideways to exactly face where you want it to.

We use this stunning, wonder webcam mainly for Video calling to India. People watching us in India are under the impression that we are being shot in Hollywood (For a movie). We tried this camara with Skype,and Yahoo messenger, works equally good. I took some Studio class still pictures of myself from this cam with 5xHD resolution. Works well with minimum light also with auto focusing. Clear and crisp video casting with 1280×720 HD is very appealling. I am still trying to find a thing that is not so great about it. This compact master piece can be installed within minutes (CD). I specially like this Microsoft Lifecam Cinema webcam for its many useful features and selections for better videographing. Very easy to handle right from the begining. My next project is to use this webcam for WindowsLive Movie Maker, Photo Gallery and windowsLive Video calling.(For which this webcam has been Optimized).

I mounted this on my HTPC and used it with Skype Beta 4.2. With Skype 4.2 this camera really shines, since that beta is where true HD quality streams are used. My friend on the other end said it looked day and night between Skype 4.1 (SD) and 4.2. I am using this mounted on top of my 52 LCD TV and I am sitting approx 10-12′ away and people on the other end (Skype) say that I don’t sound distant (but I do sound better using a headphone mic, given…). The MS software included is pretty standard for any webcam (nothing extra, just what you expect). Others have noted that this cam will put a drain on system resources, but since I am running an AMD Phenom II X4 3.0Ghz CPU/4 Gigs of DDR3 and Windows 7 – no slow down issues, etc and I haven’t take the time to check where the cpu hovers at when running this cam. Given the quality and build of the cam itself and how well it works (plus the great price) – this is a no brainer for the most part. The next best cam I know of costs almost double. I highly recommend giving this a try if you have at least a duo-core cpu and plenty of ram (and you don’t care much about the bundled software).
