The LifeCam Cinema WebCam for Business Windows from Microsoft is a compact USB 2.0 camera with a high-quality glass lens that’s great for your business conferencing needs. The autofocus camera can capture 720p HD widescreen video at a fluid 30 frames per second. It uses ClearFrame technology to enhance video recorded in poorly lit environments, and features an integrated digital microphone for audio capture.
The camera’s body is constructed from aluminum, which reduces its weight while at the same time improving its durability. A flexible stand is included, allowing you to position the camera with ease. The Windows Live Call button allows you to launch your favorite video chat or conversation software with ease. The bundled software allows you to apply fun video effects, create your own movies, and upload still photos to the web. The camera is compatible with many popular IM clients, including Windows Live, Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, and Skype.

High resolution video..adjust according to the lighting conditions..low light visibility is very good…just install n enjoy….only problem I had with this webcam is the webcam installation on my laptop it keep on falling all the time….rest everything is excellent

this life cam realy saved my pets life!the web cam works well for my apps.the autofocus feature works a lot better then my other more expensive cam it has replaced.also,the mount is uniqely designed.to my surprize,thesoftware video package that was included is way more useful than the other program i bought seperatly.and best of allthis lifecam is made by microsoft,so its totaly compatable with my new laptop with windows 7 and upgrades the program itself for free!i got a great deal online at B&H photo,… truely excellent price for this quality,well made item.i am very happy!!thank you.

So, I’m writing this review even because I don’t *own* this camera, but because I purchased it for my sister so we could use video skype. I emailed directions like follow MS instructions for installing camera, go to @, etc. Fairly simple and straightforward, right?NOPE.Everything sets up fine, when using the webcam settings on skype the camera worked perfectly, and then we tried to do a video call. No luck. Big error and dropped call every time we tried it. Something about can not find windows live messenger. Why is it looking for that, she’s using skype? She downloads WLM, still doesn’t work. Sets up a WLM username and PW, still doesn’t work. Restarts computer, still doesn’t work. Uninstalls camera software, still doesn’t work. She finally reinstalled the camera software (I think), which prompted a reboot, and now things (finally) work.It took what was supposed to be a 5min install (plug in camera, go) into a 2 hour ordeal with me trying to diagnose it over the phone. Why, MS, WHY?? Why do you insist on tying everything together, why do you insist on loading WLM when someone is just trying to use skype, why do you make things so COMPLICATED?? Apple products are simple, user-friendly, and work. Your products work, but they are almost intentionally user-UNfriendly.Otherwise once set up it works well, lighting is great, autofocus is great, and its just a great product. If it were a simple plug-n-play cam, it would/should earn 7 stars. As it is I’m feeling generous to give it 3.

Out of the box, the quality on this cam was pretty bad — heavily overexposed. Apparently, on a MS machine it can be adjusted; on a Mac it can’t. Fortunately there’s an $8 app you can use called Webcam Settings to adjust brightness and a few other things — but c’mon Microsoft — that’s not right. I’m going to hold onto it for now since there aren’t many options available given the high demand; but soon as there are, I’m going to jump ship and get a Logitech or other cam that has better … well, everything. For $70 I expected much better.

The cameras I purchased were gifts for my family so my mother and father could see and hear their grandchildren. The picture quality is very good (depending on the connection speed) and the quality of the built in microphone is better than I expected.

I was excited when my Camera arrived. I hooked it up immediately, boy was I surprised. The quality was not there, the picture was extremely fuzzy. No matter how I set, I could not get a good Video. The cheaper E-Toy that I have was 100 times BETTER

After searching various websites and going thru a lots of reviews, I finally decided to by from B&H. Price very reasanoble…The only con I have is the clip to secure it on a laptop. I think it could be better developed to have a better hold on top of the screen

Camera does what its job well. No-hassles installation. The contraption that holds the camera on the display could be more functional; I ended up taping the camera to the computer display.
