Much better than my old webcam, very clear and sharp image, good quality even in low light (a 15w light bulb in my case). The zoom, pan, tilt functions are pretty handy, so that I don’t need to use my hand to move the camera around.

This webcam’s primary mission is to serve as the video and audio input for Skype which it does flawlessly after a pain-free setup. Its matte black aluminum body and all-glass optics give it the look and feel of a high-end piece of hardware (which in fact, it is). Its HD capability (720p) and camcorder-grade mono mic makes this webcam (with a laptop) a plausible stand-in for acquisition of HD video in the absence of a proper camcorder. Friends report really great video quality even at the reduced image sizes in real time Skype. A nice library of special/avatar effects rounds out the package. … this light weight, precision webcam was an outstanding purchase.

I hastily bought this without researching if it would be mac compatible. I’ve only been an Apple user for a short time and haven’t learned that only Apple is compatible with Apple. However downloading special software and hacking my computer to shut off facetime I managed to make this camera work at least once. It was very clear, beautiful feed back. I love the way the base is designed, very versatile- I could point it in any direction, swivel it, attach is different places. And the cord is very long. Overall great design.

Works well with Skype. Video is clear, but the frame rate is low (10fps) at the 1280×720 resolution which means jerky motion. Keep in mind that this resolution is good for video, but too low for stills. There is a button on the camera to launch MSN messenger, but the button is not reprogrammable to launch other programs (e.g. Skype). The software that comes with it is very basic. I use iSpy (free) instead.

I bought the camera as a inexpensive way to get into stop motion animation. I wanted to be able to sync the camera flawlessly with my software, but still have a higher definition picture. The close ups are beautiful. More than two feet away, and the quality for single frames goes down, but it still does what I need it to do.

Bought this to use for video calling and various photo and video projects. I like the accompanying software which seems would be very nice to go with a better camera. But the picture quality is far inferior to the older Logitech unit it replaced. It may be better on another system but is poor on my win 7 pro x64 system.
