For the money this is a good product with one restriction – if you are doing an interior cut against a template the friction of the template against the bushings can cause them to rotate in the base and unlock. The bushing then falls into the work slot and get destroyed by the router bit. I had two fail this way before I realized what was happening. Fortunately the dealer provided a free replacement set and the router bit was not damaged. The solution for me was to drill a small hole through the edge of the red insert and the plastic base. I then inserted a flat head (countersinking it by hand) 2X56 screw into the hole and used a lockwasher and 2-56 nut to hold it in place. This stopped the insert from rotating. Then after every three (or so) cuts with the router I verified that the nut was tight and also double checked the router collet for good measure. Worked like a charm after that and I successfully cut over 70 scallops out of a project. I also had to cut my own mounting holes for the router base as Ryobi managed to come up with a bolt pattern that did not match any of the options provided on the base but that was easy to do with a drill press and a few bits using the center tool provided by MIlesCraft with the base plate/bushing set. I blame the Ryobi engineers for that, not MilesCraft. And it was easy to fix since the base plate is clear plastic.

Make sure the inserts are locked in all the way. But other than that works great

Just what I needed. Fit my very wierd old Ryobi router. Only problem so far is to remember to check that the collars are still tight in the base – one time it vibrated loose after about 10 cuts without checking all the fittings.

This kit worked perfectly for me to use my B&D router, with a Sears Craftsman Dove Tail Jig to make some beautiful dresser drawers.

The centering tool, since it’s made of plastic, can bend, thus making it hard to center precisely. Other than that it fits my Craftsman router perfectly, and it did the job I bought it for, and I’m sure there’ll be more use of this.

I did have to modify it a little because my Ryobi plung router is a little weird. Otherwise it works great.

Home Depot, I can’t review this product yet, as it is a Christmas Present for my Husband. It is still in the box and wrapped for him to open Christmas morning.

For the price this worked good. I did have issues with the inserts moving and had to secure with a little hot glue.

read the reviews before buying , really like the setup myself . the only thing I see wrong with the reviews is that some of the reviewers are not setting it up right , if you set it up right it will work like it says it will .

I haven’t had the chance to use this yet, but the quality of the product is great, and everything works and fits as described. I can foresee no problems using this product.

Good product. Its worth the money. I suggest checking the bushing ring to make sure it’s secure. The vibration can cause it work loose. This of course will vary according to the router it’s attached to. Overall a great idea for a variety of router projects doing dovetails and sign making.
