Nothing like having the right tools. I had never hung a door before and this worked great. The bit comes with it. The only drawback is you have to drill into the door to mount the template. Not a huge deal but does mean a little extra work to fill and sand the holes before painting. Overall I really liked it though.

Does the job and did make things easier. The only issue is my old doors are just a slightly different size than the replacement doors, so getting them to fit perfectly has been a challenge. I had to adjust how the Jig sits on the door prior to routing. But otherwise — no issues. WAY easier than using a chisel.

Absolutely perfect job done with the help of this tool. Can’t say enough about it. Used it to seat 6 hinges into a double-door jamb, and 2 french door slabs – which both had to be custom-fitted for the opening. The project turned out great. And the hinges looked like they had been pre-hung in a factory.
