This is a nice tool to have when creating multiple dowel cuts. The different size bits are useful to have rather than some other kits that only have one size. The included dowels help you get started but you would need purchase more later on.

This was a little hard to figure out at first for my application but then it was like an assembly line. I made shutters for my granddaughter’s playhouse and this was great to make frames.

For the weekend DIY warrior this is a great tool. Although the jig is plastic it does a great job or remaining steady as the hole is being drilled. The Drill bits are of really good quality and should last me months to come. I recommend watching videos on the web to get familiar with how the jig works but once you do one or two joints the process is incredibly fast. Great tool for the DIYer!

It works, however, centering your dowel hole on the material using the method described leaves the workpiece off-center and if it is not clamped to the workpiece in some way the jig moves enough to put both workpieces out of alignment. It works, but not very effectively.

this is easy enough to use for various thicknesses of lumber and with various types of connections. The drill bit is short and doesn’t cut well, obtain a better one before use. I didn’t use the supplied glue and opted for what I normally use. this is all plastic and for occasional use. if you plan on doing a lot of this type joinery, get a good set or make your own. I needed it for a table repair.
