There is a bit of a learning curve to using it for the various sizes and positions. It worked well for what I was using it for which was placing a top on a nightstand. For the price, I would recommend this tool to add to your arsenal.

I’ve used this on a few projects. Reading through some of the reviews, I took special care to “line up’ the corresponding holes … the projects have come out solid and looking pretty nice. The plastic on the bottom has been scuffed during the uses so far, but a simple run over by a file cleans that up, so durability does become a question for down the road, but I am happy with the purchase so far.

This is an excellent tool for the money. I used it to build a set of bunk beds which required multiple dowel pins. I constructed the beds with red oak lumber and the drill bits never dulled out on me. The jig was very accurate. My buddy paid $100 for his jig and this one, which costs so much less, can do everything his more expensive jig can do. I’d buy this again.

I found this jig to be hard to use and not intuitive. I ended up making my own dowel jig from scrap lumber and one inch long half inch stainless steel spacers that are ,3/8 internal.do that works much better.
