Very good tool for using dowels in woodworking projects.

the screws on the back holding the doweling jigs in place stripped out after only a few adjustments, which is disappointing; I would love to be able to get the stripped screws out at some point, but overall the tool is extremely helpful and advantageous.

Accurate and easy to use. Casting seems a little light. Will see how this tool holds up to continued use. Would recommend that Milescraft add another clamp to this doweling jig set. This would allow both ends of a set of boards to be supported while the dowel holes are drilled.

Don’t like the plastic knobs. Jig works great.

This jig is probably the best for the money. My issues are first, the composite pads on the jig started to breakdown on the very first use. It continued for this entire project.Second, was the Phillips head set screws securing the drill blocks. I’ve already those with allan head screws.

Sturdy and well made, easy to use and accurate if you take care to adjust the position of the drill guides.

This is a great tool and the only thing is, don’t use it as a self centering dowel. That is what I searched for and got this. The dowel holes are not centered. The tool is meant to put the dowel in the same spot on two pieces of wood for a matched joint. Just be careful which sides you want next to each other.

Great jig, super helpful and easy to use. Made of high quality material. No concerns with this at all.

I made a free-standing, 36 bottle wine rack and using this jig allowed me to dowel all the front and back cradles with a minimum amount of fuss. The jig seems built well, so I expect to get many years of use out of this one.

Cannot find the link to update my review so will write a new one. I reacted too quickly in writing the earlier review..I WAS WRONG!!! I was complaining that I couldn’t join two pieces of 8/4 stock because the jig is set up for ‘standard’ thicknesses. I looked at it one more time before returning for a refund and realized I could invert the guides for the 3/8 dia holes and move those holes further from the finished edge…not in the center of these 1.75″ boards but enough that the dowels will not be close to the finished surfaces. I have joined two of the three boards and that went well. I am happy with the quality of this jig and the workmanship used. I do recommend it.

This worked perfectly fine for me; used it for joining on a tack trunk; 24 sets of 3 over the entire trunk base and all aligned very well.

Worked well as advertised. I highly recommend.

Great sturdy design! Only drawback is positioning the jig in a manner to drill multiple dowel holes. You have to have some sort of setup on your bench so that the jig does not rest on the tightening knows. Works great!

I have made a 7’x36″ work bench top our of joined 2X12’s and a farmhouse dining room table top. Both projects joined dowels and using this jig. It’s easy to use and accurate.

There are a number of reasons to buy this jig. It is made from solid aluminium castings with machined reference surfaces. There was some serious skull sweat that went into this little jig. Give me some time to use it and maybe I’ll reevaluate it.
