Once I found out the output side, I was ready to go. I use this drill pump to remove water from beside my shed and garden compost. I pump into a 5 gal container and dump into my 35 gal water (garden) trash can.

I needed to empty a goldfish pond. It worked very well with a short length of hose and I was able to make it start siphoning to remove most of the water. I tried a longer section of hose so I could get it to go further down hill. That one didn’t work. Eventually, I had to just stand there drill in hand to pump out the rest of the water..it took awhile, but it did work. Over all, it did a good job.

The pulley was stuck and could not spin.

Was Looking for a drill/pump that would speed up water flow from tank in back of truck. An in-stream pump with a battery power source seemed perfect. Devise did not speed up flow of water – maybe even slowed it down. If used as siphon to move water from fish ponds, etc it would probably work great.

I use this to suck water out of my stupidly designed dryer vent.

water pressure was good even through a 50 foot hose

Worked great for my application of pumping out fire hydrants. Caution tho, make sure you use the grease on the impellers after each use. Otherwise impellers will wear out fast.

Initially, the shaft would not turn. I disassembled the pump and found that on molding the impeller onto the shaft, some plastic had squeezed out and formed flash, jamming the shaft in its bushing. I trimmed the flash off with a blade, reassembled the pump, and it worked fine.

One of the most fun, inexpensive toy tools that I have ever owned! Wish I could submit a picture to illustrate how I have configured for optimum use. My main use is to dewater the bilge in my old wooden boat – but one can conjure up thousands of dewatering/liquid transfer uses for this solid little device. Simply amazing – and I don’t often gush over a product purchased online. When you finish with your project – be sure to squirt some silicone into the impeller via one of the connector ports and run it for a few seconds to thoroughly coat the impeller so it will not stick while eagerly anticipating your next project. Fun tool – toy!

It emptied a bucket of water in a few seconds

I was very happy with pump. I used it for collecting sap for maple syrup. Only issue was self priming in the cold, was a little slower and had to make a few more revolutions to pump fluid in. When warm it took right off. I used both cordless & electric drills. Would definitely buy again.

Got this shipped to my Home Depot store a few weeks ago. We’ve had really heavy rains the past week in my area and I already used it to drain a window well twice and a depression in my basement another two times. So far so good, really works well. Will update this review as time progresses.

Would have been 5 stars as it meets 90% of my needs. Works as advertised with drill motor at high speed setting. Intended use was to bail out rain water and to pump fresh water into camper when boondocking using battery powered drill. Pump is packed with axle grease to save the impeller when self priming. Use of silicone rubber impeller without the grease would render more appropriate for potible water. Easily disassembled to clean, etc.
