I think the product works very well. If there were any areas where i might suggest an improvement it would be on the assembly instructions. I believe that in setting up the track that manages the angles it was little confusing in terms of how to connect it and tighten down… I think I a more secure location for the Chuck key. I get little worried about when using the drill guide I’d lose the key…. Otherwise and overall I was totally satisfied.

This tool brought some much needed accuracy to my drilling needs. This tool will help in making sure you have perfectly straight drilling. The mobility aspect is also a great aspect of this and the cost is not anywhere near a full drill press.

It works as described, but it would be nice to either be able to tilt in both directions or move the handle to the other side (moving the handle would be my preferred suggestion). I have some posts that I wanted to put angled pegs in to hang items, but to do it I have to use it as a left hander when I am right handed. It makes it awkward to use and possibly unsafer. It does work correctly and very well if all your drilling is downward.

Decent product. Not a toy like some other versions I have tried. Helps drill straight holes of consistent depth. Have not tried angled holes or drilling into tubes but I have no doubt it would be fine.

It’s been convenient for a few tasks that require precision. A handheld drill will often wander a tad when starting a hole—this makes sure it goes exactly where you intended.The spring inhibits your ability to use shorter bits or drill deeper holes. And, while the width of the base helps with stability, it also inhibits your ability to drill near the edge of your piece or on narrow material. These are necessary to the function of the instrument, but making them slightly smaller would’ve made it effective in more circumstances without sacrificing much functionality.If you lack a drill press, want to drill precise holes in scenarios a press couldn’t be used, or really suck at keeping your drill square to the material, this is great. But for casual users or furniture-makers, this is a very low-priority acquisition.(I can only attest to its uses on wood. I never need to drill precise holes into metal, and would need to use SDS bits on masonry.)
