The Milescraft DrillMate met my expectations on the first two times I used it. Basically, it was to drill holes – starter holes for jig saw cutting center of plank holes, in one instance – where accuracy was very important. Once you move the DrillMate to desired spot you can depress the drill to touch the spot with the bit to ensure you are exactly on target. While drilling a ‘through’ hole, holding the handle keeps the DM steady and true. I’m very happy with my Milescraft DrillMate!!!

Works well but not very stable- just need to clamp it down. Not heavy duty but provided accurate drilling for pegboard wall unit I was building. Good value for infrequent user.

I was skeptical that such a took could help me drill vertical holes better than I could by “eyeball,” but I was wrong. This drill guide really works. I haven’t tried the 30/45/60 degree angle settings yet, but I can see that they will be useful and helpful. The drill guide exceeds my expectations by quite a bit.
