Look up a video on YouTube of how to use it. With a helper you can’t beat this tool. If you have common sense and understand how to use this with no written this is all you need. I was a little skeptical with some of the bad reviews but trust me that’s all user error! You get a $100 tool for $13.

This did a great job of aligning my drill to position the holes needed to join 2 pieces of wood with dowels. I test drilled 2 scrap pieces & they aligned & joined perfectly. Next I drilled & joined my project pieces & they too joined perfectly. A great tool for quickly aligning dowel holes.

Good product for drilling holes for dowels except where the hole needs to go near the end of a board. I wanted to insert two 1/4 in dowels into the end of a 1 X 3 inch board. This jig will not help you center the hole if it is less than two inches from the end of the board. .

Great tool at a great price! Easy to use and with a reasonable amount of care, holes are straight. There are only the 3 holes for 3drill sizes, but I suspect that is by design and fortunate as to add additional drill sizes would make I less handy and awkward to use as a hand tool. There are other tools designed for a greater range of drill sizes and bench use. The Joint mate Dowel Jig is excellent for quick and easy use anywhere.
