This product works as advertised. I am having some trouble centering my dowels but I am 98% sure it’s my fault, not the tool. I do think some guidance on clamping the tool prior to drilling would be helpful, however.

This jig is very simple to use, the clamp on the back helps with angles and gives an accurate center point to drill into. Love it, I bought 2 for convenience while drilling out cross dowels. Love it!

I’m metagrobolized over rating systems such as one to five stars. They are easy to evaluate but have limited options for exceptions. I couldn’t give this item 1 star nor could I give it five stars since I haven’t used it yet. It looks to be well made of materials suited for non commercial use. It’s colorful with the red fence and brass inserts. The printing is neat and appears to be spelled correctly. But it’s too soon to evaluate how it performs.

Works great if you use 3/8 dowels. Center drill guide lines up perfect and easy. Any other size make sure your measurement’s to find the center of the board are on the money otherwise your going to end up sanding a lot.

My Milescraft dowel jig is fun. I have the Kreg pocket hole system for joining wood, however using dowels are fun. It gives me a way other than pocket joinery to joint wood. It offers another way of thinking and planning.With all this new time on our hands this Milescraft jig made it easy and fun.
