Fits the metabo perfectly.A few caveat: – plunging requires much more force than without the stand – The depth setting is not perfectly accurate, expect about 0.5mm-1mm of slack. – with short bits, the plunging depth is quite short. – I swapped the screw for butterfly nuts, for easy use

I used it with a hammerdril and a jig I made. After 176 stones that needed a hole drilled into it still going strong. I still have over 300 more stones to do, I’ll let you know it does after that. I would think about taping plate behind the retaining cover for the drill. I had to super glue the Nut behind the back plate because the vibration was loosing them up.

It works GREAT as long as you use the type of drill it fits (43mm round collar behind the chuck, and AFAIK, these are always corded drills, almost always hammer drills).The poor reviews are not justified, but are due to people who didn’t understand what type of dril this fits.

First of all, please note, this drill will only work with some european drills. With that said, the only one I found was the Bosch corded drill which you can find here in the US cheap (but they may be discontinued soon and the new Bosch drills will not fit). I decided to go with this version rather the one with a attached drill vise which seemed too shaky by attaching any drill onto the unit. By getting the Bosch, the assembly was more secure and more accurate. I was drilling a number of dog holes for an assembly table i was making and it does make drilling 90 degree holes easier. And drilling 200 holes and trying to get them all perfect by hand is challenging. So, this helped out alot. You still need to use some care and don’t expect it to make the holes automatically, but its a good tool if used correctly.

Disappointed that my two drills did not fit within the opening. Can’t afford to pay for extra drill with the correct neck diameter. But, with a couple of shims was able to make the Drillmate work okay. Won’t return, but will not recommend this product unless the person has a drill that will fit its!
