Pretty much the same as my old sand devil only the lever appears to be plastic instead of metal. As far as the shape it works extremely well for most applications. I bought the second one after using the first for about ten years so that says it all. Buy it !!!

I am a finish carpenter with 30+ years experience specializing in interior trim and cabinet installation. For years I have been making my own belt sanding blocks out of scrap pieces of wood but found it to be time consuming and sometimes difficult to change the belts when they would wear out. I tried to make the belts fit as tight and flat as possible but this wasn’t always fast and easy because many times different belt manufacturers products would be just a little loose or a little to tight compared to the size block i made. After seeing one of these profile belt sanding blocks with the tension adjusting lever owned by a co-worker, I just had to get one for myself. I have been using it daily for about a month and have found it to be so much easier and faster to use than what I was doing before. Sure the scrap blocks of wood were free but the time it took to make and change the belts wasn’t.

Great little sanding tool to have because of the different angels that you can sand your projects with the tool. The tool takes a regular sized sanding belt of different grits which can be purchased at the Home Depot.

This sander uses the same 3″x21″ belts as my belt sander. Belts are tougher than most sandpaper, which rips on some jobs. Well designed.

A great product for hand work. The belts last much longer than the quarter-sheets I have used in the past for a hand-held sanding block.
