Easy to start drilling with the split point drills, but a standard drill bit cuts much faster.They reason many of you are having complaints about breaking drills is because you are feeding these too fast and hard. You need to drill your holes in steps. Retract the bit to clear out the chips and the bit won’t break!

These work well, but the pilot bit often gets misaligned and wobbles as I’m drilling the hole. It’s minor, but just enough to notice. Not a super high quality set, but they work well enough for what I need.

I was drilling thru 2×12 board and #12 bit broke after about 3-4 holes. Although, countersink seems appealing the bits don’t feel strong.

This set contained the sizes I needed.My main complaint is the drill bit in the #8 snapped in half on the tenth screwhole i drilled. I had to get one of my regualr dill bits to replace it.
