Works as advertised. I would recommend it to my friends.

Ok for direct transfer of an angle but unsophisticated scale eliminates the potential of an exact measurement. More like a kids toy. But other products from this company are great.

The only problem was where they formed the plastic it left two bumps. Once I figured out they were there I sanded them off and it worked perfectly.

Good idea, weak design and execution with almost no instructions. My DIY woodworking needs are limited and never approach fine carpentry. But on occasion I need to determine angle cuts. So the IDEA behind this tool is very much appreciated. Unfortunately its design and execution didn’t meet my needs or expectations. Had it not been for the video provided on the product’s Home Depot description page, I would’ve been dumbfounded how to use it, as it came with virtually no instructions. Also, the calibration markings are quite imprecise—though the idea of the tool is to avoid using precise numbers and instead use the tool guide to align you miter saw. If used as directed in the video, the tool does a good job of cutting precise angles needed. But, in my opinion, using it is not as obvious or intuitive as the producer assumes.

As an amateur handyman, I needed a tool that would help me figure wall angles for cutting baseboards and quarter round. This tool takes the guesswork out of jobs such as this.

Very easy to use. This angle finder is as simple as fitting its two arms to each side ot your workpiece. The main intention is to confirm the angle of a corner for moulding or baseboards and then take the angle finder to the miter saw to accurately cut each half angle: use one arm on the saw fence and the middle yellow divider along the saw blade to set the appropriate angle. The device has a pressure tab to “lock”it into place but the gears are stiff enough that it’s not entirely necessary. The angle finder however is not intended to tell you an exact numerical readout of the angle. Its “display” has a tick mark for every ten degrees so if you need a precise angle calculation to the decimal this is not the tool for you. It can confirm inside and outside corners and has edge holders if you need to place it on top of a work piece. Overall a handy tool.

This Milescraft Angle Finder takes all the guesswork out of determining angles – both inside and outside angles. You just need to open it up by pulling it apart and resting it flat against both surfaces, lock in the angle degree by pushing the red lever down and head for the saw to make your cut. The yellow angle divider also indicates the exact center of an angle and is great for making mitre cuts. It can measure angles from 0° to 180°. The retractable edge guides really come in handy for finding the outside angle of a flat surface such as a table or planter. In one of the pictures below I was trying to get the angle of an 8-sided plant stand by holding and balancing the angle finder on top of the stand…..I wasn’t able to keep it steady and leveled against both surfaces for an accurate reading. However, when I used the retractable edge guides, the angle finder sat right on the edge, flat on both surfaces and I got the correct angle. This is a great addition to my toolbox and will be used often.

Will work if you are careful not to move the angle. The lock mechanism is a bit flimsy and allows the angle to move if you are not very careful. The protractor is several degrees off. Fair value considering the price. The instructions were virtually non-existent. If you buy one of these, you will need to watch the Home Depot video or the you tube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-XQ13St8CU on how to use it. Summary, not an outstanding tool, but usable if you are careful.

Eliminate the guesswork in finding and cutting matching angles. This device is basically a variable angle, square that you move to match the angle that exists (Inside or outside angles) so you can duplicate the angle on another piece of material or even transfer the angle to your miter saw when cutting angles and bevels (as well as half angles for such)Its constructed of a nice heavyweight plastic like material and can be locked into position when you find the angle you need to duplicate.Easy to use and a great time and material saver as it aids you in making the right cut the very first time.

First i’d recommend making sure your blade is square to the table. I’m a DIY’er and learned quite a bit watching the video on youtube. The second thing I’d recommend is make sure you cut the pieces in the exact same way (top or bottom side up). Obviously i’m not a pro at this, and I made a lot of mistakes but once you understand inside/outside cuts this angle finder sure does help. I used it quite often when putting baseboard trim in the kitchen. We have a new stand alone corner cabinet and this created a different angles other than 45’s. It’s quite a simple tool, but I’d say a must if you’re trying to figure this out on your own. Overall, I’m happy with this tool, I’d recommend it to my friends and I’d say it exceeded my expectations.
