Have been using this hole shooter drill for about 30 years, used to drill heavy duty doors that most installers are afraid to work on. I love my 25 foot attachable cord that keeps me free of extension cords on the job (just an OSHA thing). My only disappointment so far with the new drill is the newly designed handle… I need the short handle back again, have not yet found out if this an option I can purchase. The fact is that after 30 years of using the shorter handle, I am very uncomfortable with the body posture using the new longer handle. Does it make sense that putting myself in an uncomfortable position, could also be setting myself up for an accident waiting to happen?

Very good drill. This is replacing the same drill I have had for more than 20 years and has only now started to break down due to hard use

Good drill for light drilling. Tends to jam when it hits hard wood.

Hard to get too excited about a drill, but this one fulfills all my expectations of what a good tool should be. It’s rugged, durable, powerful, works smoothly, & is trouble free. Can’t ask for much more than that.

This is a professional drill. I have had one for 15 years and it is a great performer. Especially like the ease of effort of drilling into concrete flooring. As long as the masonry bit is sharp, this drill will perform flawlessly. Excellent speed control as well, very precise. Excellent low speed torque. Well worth the money and, ultimately, you get what you pay for.

This is simply the best drill I have ever used. The quality in the drill is next to none. I specifically bought this drill for the jampot type design and the precision is incredible for such a small hand held device The variable speed trigger is ridiculously easy to use and isn’t touchy in any way.

Incredibly sturdy. Excellent speed control. More than enough power (Use that side handle!). I’ve had mine about 10 years or so and have used it for just about everything on the farm at least once as well as more than a few large metal projects. Nothing stops it and nothing kills it. It is not the lightest drill around but I’ll take the overall durability tradeoff anyday.

I have one of these already but I kinda of screwed up the chuck. It still works but you have to use the chuck key all the time. So I finally broke down an ordered another one, just like a little kid with a new toy. The drill is still the same and they added some length to the stabilizing bar which I think will maybe save your knuckles a little bit more. I love Milwaukee tools…. to say I am a toolaholic is an understatement but don’t tell my wife

I got this tool to replace an old drill I’d had for 30+ years that finally gave out. The quality is great – chuck is very solid and the chuck key fits tightly and turns well. Trigger control is very sensitive. It’s slightly awkward to balance but that’s easily resolved with the detachable handle, which you really need on something with this power anyway. Great tool!

I have had a hole shooter drill for many years and the brushes finally wore out. I purchased a new one because they are so dependable. I have since repaired the old one, and so now I have two! The new one is made in China but to Milwaukee specs so its a very nice drill. I recommend it without reservation. The new one is used exclusively in the mixing of fudge. I just chuck up the beater and it does an excellent job! The side handle has an extension that must be used with the handle. It works very well for holding the drill steady.

I use this drill everyday – especially when I need to bore large holes through heavy stock. This drill has plenty of power to get the job done. My only wish is that it came with the 25′ cord.

I was able to puchase this drill for less than the repair cost on an existing one.

There seems to be a lot of gear noise. I hope this is just break-in time & no backlash.

The drill is great and powerful. It works as expected. This is my second 0234 and it can do almost anything. I did have one issue. The chuck strap broke when attaching it to the cord. I am going to contact Milwaukee about getting a new strap.

I have had very nearly the exact drill for over 30 years. I think that they called it a hole puncher drill back then. I’ve re-plumbed and re-wired several houses with it and it is very powerful. Mine has such excellent control with the variable speed trigger, I actually prefer it when driving wood screws, too. This is an amazing drill, in my opinion.
