This drill has performed as needed and seems to not have any issues drilling with large auger bits and holesaws.

I have always liked Milwaukee brand. I only give it 4/5 stars because I’ve only had it a short while and not long enough to have evaluated it for top marks.

I’ve only used this once but it was impressive. My cordless 1/2 drill couldn’t drive a 1/2 inch spade bit through 4 inches of very old, tough, rough pine. Put this baby on it and the hole was done in less than a minute. Just the right RPM for most drill work. It’s well balanced and a bargain at $129.

I purchased this drill for use in a Welding and Fabrication Shop. It received extreme heavy duty use. The drill performed very well. It was the only brand we found that held up under our heavy duty use. This drill should work for anyone if it worked for my fabguys under these difficult work conditions. I am sure you will be satisfied with the performance of this well-designed product.

I bought this a couple years ago and used it on numerous wood projects. Predominantly for wood screws. The slow speed and torque made a very very good combination to seat 3″ and 4″ #8 wood screws WITHOUT stripping the head out. This was used many times for eagle projects and worked 12hrs a day.I liked the handle, its angle made for easy 1 hand operation to drill the screw straight while the other hand held the board in place. I liked its ability to take a screw down below the surface with just a touch up, unlike smaller 3/8 drill you have to back it out and run it back down. I really liked this drill. It has so much torque that while driving a large (#12 screw) to attach a caster, the screw hit bottom and the drill twisted out of my hand and fell. A brush broke, not something I’ve ever experienced before. If I were a professional this would be a real good daily use tool. My problem was I broke easy. First the brushes and then the motor. The brushes were very easy to replace and available at low cost. I was able to buy a new armature but it needs a press to be installed. I wish it lasted longer.

Plenty of power and torque. Make sure you get some quality bits, because this is a quality gun. Feels a bit heavier than other 1/2” drills i’ve owned.

I use one of these drills at work for drilling holes in steel plate. This thing is an arm breaker if you are using a large bit in a heavy drilling application and the bit sticks. The amount of torque this thing makes is scary. Its the first drill I have ever seen that will snap a 1″ drill bit without hesitation. I have used lots of drills, but this thing is King. Durability of this drill is also out of this world. I have used it to punch holes through 1′ thick plate with 1″ or larger bits, and it never quits. I am buyin one of these for home use!

I bought this milwaukee drill to end my 5 hour frustration with a cordless drill. Needless to say, this beast took care of the “5 hour” job in less than 5 minutes. Paid for itself in less than 5 minutes, highly recommended!!!
