Lots of torque will drill 1/2 in through concrete with out a problem. Has enough power to mix 160 pounds of concrete with a quick mixer (Home Depot SKU 963178) Sturdy enough to take a fall without a problem. Teeth on the heavy duty chuck will not chip off if over tightened.

Was in the middle of a project, installing a TV on a stone fireplace and my other corded drill was burning up so I picked this Milwaukee Magnum up to finish it. Wow, its 8 amps and strong gear driven chuck was noticeable immediately. I was using 1 inch by18 inch drill bits (wood and masonry) and this monster just cruised through the wood and concrete without smoking and stalling like my other 1/2 inch drive drill. I just wish I had started with this Milwaukee drill at the beginning of my project. The chuck seems to have more precision in tightening than entry level corded drills and being an old guy I like the keyed chuck version better. I would not use this for screws as it is too powerful and does not have an immediate brake when you release the trigger, but for major hole boring it’s a keeper! Other reviewers mentioned its weight, but it weighs about the same as my other 1/2 inch drill. One last comment, I also liked the grooves on the side handle so it fits tight and will not slip when locked into place.

It works, always. My other drill chacked-shuttered cold stopped half way thru 300 pounds of quik leveler. Not the best day I’ve ever had. That’s it.You need your gear to work, always?Straight up – when it doesn’t, you feel that pain.Pony up the money for this drill, it’s worth it.

Purchased this tool to mix paint and sheetrock mud, it does a great job, has plenty of torque and extra handle to control twisting motion.

Awsome drill. Press the trigger and hold on. Used with auger bits. Spade bits. Holesaws up to 4″.

I have several Milwaukee tools that are over twenty years old. I expect this drill will last just as long.

I am normally an Amazon customer but got this drill at HD at a lower price and just as fast. As for the drill itself… Milwaukee drills should be purchased by younger folk than me–they last forever and the torque in this drill makes it zip through two-thick 2X4s in seconds to install wiring.

I really like this drill. It’ll power through anything that I’ve put it to drilling. I have always considered Milwaukee products to be the “Rolls-Royce” of power tools. This reasonably priced Milwaukee drill is no exception. It’s great! I particularly like the keyed chuck. I no longer have the necessary hand strength to use a key less chuck. So this drill’s keyed chuck has proved itself to be a godsend to me. The keyed chuck is a must have feature for some of us senior citizens.

This power drill really helps get the job done, it’s a work horse.
