The drill arrived in only a few days after ordering. It is replacing my previous Milwaukee drill that lasted 50 years when the chuck became hard to use. My new Milwaukee drill has a key-less chuck which is very easy and positive to use. The drill is a little longer than my other hand-held drills with the placement of reduction gears up-front that reduce the RPM’s to the stated 1000. With the 8-amp motor, it is incredibly powerful. It also has the handy reversing switch. My previous Milwaukee drill drew only 3.5 amps and was quite sufficient. There is no need for additional power than what this newer drill has. The removable cord is also handy. I use this drill only for really demanding jobs

Tried to buy this drill from store but workers are a joke! Got online and ordered it from a very nice and helpful person. She made the order simple and pain free. Several drills look the same so don’t be fooled into buying a less quality drill. I own two of these drills now and am very pleased with both.

Bought this drill because of the great reviews and my long (35 years) history of great success with Milwaukee quality and performance. For the first time they really let me down. Drill works, but makes a clicking sound that definately should not be there. Drill has great torque, wonderful, subtle speed control, but a bit heavier than I wish for extended use. Home Depot is exchanging it and I’m hoping the new one will perform flawlessly. Without this problem, I’d have given it five stars.

Needed a drill with good overall power and long life. We manufacture machines for production facilities. Our tools get a lot of work. Much higher then average. Milwaukee has not let us down.

I’ve owned this drill for over 5 years. I use my cordless for a lot of things, but some things just need corded power. I had to drill a 3/4 hole through a 1-1/2 inch piece of steel, and there was no way any of my cordless would do it. I chucked up a silver-deming bit, and had NO problem – except I was scared it would snap the bit. I have used this on a tube notcher to notch 2″ .120 wall tube – goes like butter. This thing has so much torque that the side handle is a requirement. And even with it, you have to really hold it. The keyless chuck is a good design, it is still dead-on after all the use and abuse, and it really grips tight. Never had a bit slip. Only problem I have after long use is that the cord is coming apart, but Milwaukee was smart enough to make it a detachable, so all I have to do is replace the cord.

Worked well for the job I bought it for, plenty of power.

This is a good solid drill. Have only used it a few days thus far, but all is good so far. Although I have not drilled through anything difficult yet, the torque appears to be solid. RPMs are lower than I normally like. I’ve found this to be stricktly a drill. Does not peform well when driving screws. Weight and balance are both good. This is a good option if you’re looking for a drill only that is well balanced and should last a long time.

Got this to fill a gap for larger jobs, like boring through large beams. Wound up filling more of a gap since my 3/4″ died on me midway through the project. A little heavy for the smaller stuff, but it was fine. For boring, it has plenty of power, just be sure to use the side handle or your wrist will pay the price.

This is the quality I would expect from Milwaukee.

This drill, while very modestly priced, contains all the benefits needed to be successful on most all jobs. I purchesed this to use for jobs that needed more power than my cordless, but not as much as a monster drill.Pros- This drill is extremely well built, very durable, and ergonomically designed. I used it for many projects drilling repetitive holes and never experienced the strain on my forearms and wrists that others have caused! The power band on this drill is incredible! I have used it to turn a variety of heavy bits, including a .5 inch shank 2 foot long 2inch spade bit boring through telephone poles, it performed flawlessly and powered right through.Cons-My drill had a quick adapter for the power cord, which never has been a problem, I am just not sure why it is made that way! This drill is very decieving, and when drilling large type jobs, use both hands, it has the power to throw you around.Bottom line is, this is a great drill. Dont underestimate its small size and light appearance.

I’ve used this drill at work daily for six months so far and it just begs to be used. The 1/2″ chuck is backed by a very high torque motor. Unlike other manufacturers putting plastic, flimsy keyless chucks onto their drills, this one has a rock solid chuck that never slips. I would recommend this drill to everyone. The only thing I do not like about the drill is its quick disconnect power cord. I never remove the cord and don’t see any use for it.

Drill arrived on the scheduled delivery date.Drill works as advertised and the geared collar that holds the auxilary handle is a nice feature. Chuck works well but a Rohm EXTRA-RV13 chuck would be a nice upgrade. Plenty of power, light weight and well balanced.HD should offer this tool and other Milwaukee tools (not currently available in stores) in their stores so that you don’t have to wait for delivery.

There are times you get what you pay for. I purchased a similar Milwaukee drill 25 years ago and still use it to this day. I purchased this one for my son and expect he will have it long after I am gone.

This was a replacement for one that I had like it and got very good service out of. Like the removable cord, and chuck works real well. The one that this is replacing had for 8 years with heavy use.

very powerful drill around Milwaukee electric drill, if the drill bit stops the drill will keep on going.
