Even though we have numerous cordless drills occasionally we have a need for a corded type drill, primarily when drilling through thick heavy metal at a jobsite. We purchased this drill for such an occasion and overall we are pleased with the product. It is durable in nature and appears to be well built. We have only used it a few times so far, but I expect it will last true to the brand. It is a keyed chuck, but it has a positive lock system built in. You simply tighten the chuck until you hear the click, and that is it. So far we are pleased.

I first used this drill working construction in the NWT, what a piece of kit. This drill is extremely torquey and is capable of driving under high loads. I have always been impressed by them and have yet to find anything as impressive – it’s the next best thing to a binford HAHAHA

Drill stalls/jams when it reaches knots in wood. I tried to drill through 4″X 6″ header and it jammed. Had to use a more powerful Milwaukee drill. Okay for light drilling.

Excellent for most all smaller drilling needs. Slow powerful drive gives this drill a big advantage over most others available.

Great mixing drill for drywall mud, structolight or plaster materials. Spins consistently at low and high rpms. Is heavy duty. Last one, same model, lasted 16 years of full time use.

I love my 18v cordless, but, Installing 4×8 panels overhead for 8 hours at a time… you need something lighter, while just as tough. This drill has lots of torque, has an excellant quick chuck, and you won’t need to be Governor Terminater to use it overhead all day. The price is pretty nice too.

More than 12 years ago, I got a job hanging steel security doors. The screws required a LOT of torque to sink them, so I bought this exact drill. I had to sell the drill within a year due to hard times, and regretted it until now. Now I’m adding this to my current drill collection since the job I have now requires drilling through tough stainless steel. I know the Magnum combined with a cobalt drill bit will get the job done. You will get you money’s worth if you buy this Milwaukee drill, and Home Depot has the best price for the model with the keyless chuck.

This is the third drill I have bought this year and this will be the last drill I buy for a very long time. If you really use your drill, you are better off in the long run getting this one. Milwaukee makes the best tools period.
