I bought this for sanding my wood turnings, it did not last long with all the dust, had to change the bearings, when I called support to complain they asked what I was using this Drill for & I told them SANDING!, the support person told me right away that this is a drill, not a sander… he is right, I should not be complainingabout problems caused by doing something it’s not designed for.

About like the old one.

I bought this drill to use as a sander in wood turning applications. So far it does seem to work well for that application. I am not sure it has enough power as a heavy duty angle drill.

Good reputation for quality. I chose an American made close quarters drill. Delivered in box marked “Made in China”.

I purchased this drill to replace a much older Milwaukee/Sioux close quarter drill that I needed to send in for new bearings after 10 years of regular use. I am a wood turner, and use the drill to sand bowls while they are on the wood lathe. This new version of the drill has been an excellent replacement for the old model; same quality Milwaukee construction, strong motor and gearing, improved shrouding of the chuck, and better air flow through the motor. I expect this new tool to last as long as its predecessor. The only criticism I have of this new design is that the grip is a little bit large for me (I have X-Large hands), and it is sometimes tiring to hold the tool for long periods of time. Excellent co-molded grip, just a little large for how I use this tool.I bought my original close quarter drill for drilling joists and studs for installing electrical wiring and plumbing. This new machine would be even better than the old one for this function.

Good tool to get into different angles. Good power.

I bought this tool to drill 1/2″ holes though about 5″ of wood for hex bolts in stud replacements. The tools barely powers thorugh them with a nice bit. I found it surprisingly light duty for a Milwaukee – expecting a heavier duty product. It felt cheaper and less quality. What really ticked me off is the cord coming at 45 deg out back. In tight quarters, between studs, it kept interfering with movement and catching on conduits. The cord should emerge straight down, or even tilted towards the front.

This drill helps me to power sand my wood bowls that I turn on my lathe. A normal drill will hit the side of the bowl but the Milwaukee with the cranked handle clears the bowl perfectly. Also has lots of power. When I ordered the drill it even was delivered a day early.

another winner from Milwaukee

does what was expected, a little heavy. should have a keyless chuck.

The drill fits my large hands well. The trigger is easy to operate while holding the drill with two hands. It has a nice long cord and plenty of power.

works just as expected. Used for sanding turned bowls and platters. Easy to maneuver around and the variable speed works like a charm.

Perfect tool with the power I need to use on our projects.
