The Milwaukee 0719 Cordless LITHIUM-ION M28 Sawzall Reciprocating Saw uses a high powered Milwaukee built motor to deliver faster cutting and performance. Powering the 0719 is the revolutionary 28-Volt LITHIUM-ION battery pack, exclusively from Milwaukee. The 28-Volt battery pack delivers two times the run-time as most 18-Volt products, making this the ideal solution in cordless reciprocating saws. The battery is positioned so that it does not interfere with plunge cutting capabilities. This Sawzall saw has a 1-1/8 in. stroke length that delivers speed. The variable speed trigger delivers two levels of speed range: 0-2000 spm for metal cutting and other hard materials and 0-3000 spm for cutting in wood and other materials encountered. The gear protecting clutch protects the tool against impact, delivering on the legendary Sawzall durability. The keyless shoe adjustment allows for better control in cutting and longer blade life. The QUIK-LOK blade clamp makes changing blades a snap. A comfortable non-slip soft grip handle provides a better gripping surface and reduces vibration and operator fatigue.

This came in a set I purchased many years back. The V28 / M28 batteries are very expensive and only 3amp hour. I will say though this saw kills everything you through at it. The new line is all 18volts so now and not much support or demand for these anymore. All the 28 volt tools were very well made but they did have some batteries issues at first and the M28 batteries are still available but very expensive.

I selectively clear wooded lots. I primarily use this saw with a brush blade for pruning. This saw hangs right in there with my Stihl brush cutter and chain saw on my heavy equipment. The M28 Sawzall does a better job for pruning and few days have gone by in the last three years that I did not use it. The battery lasts half days as I use the tool and gets topped off during lunch. While lighter is always good, my only real gripe is that I wish the two-finger trigger was a one finger trigger design. I hope Milwaukee continues to feel and develop the M28 line as lighter saws and lighter batteries simply do not have the power and endurance that I need.

I bought this unit to keep it aligned with the M28 Cordless Hammer Drill I bought a few years ago. The saw lives up to it’s genetic composition…meaning it’s a Milwaukee. I cut 2 pallets apart in less than 3 minutes (salvaged the wood for other projects). It was very powerful – never slowed down when it encountered nails, glue, etc. The battery’s location was well thought out – giving good balance and being cordless, no entanglements. Tree limbs, 4 x 4s, you name it ~ NO Sweat!Should have bought one years ago.

This thing rocks. I’ve cut down a 6″ diameter tree with it. Cuts through small stuff very easily. Cutting up huge cardboard boxes is actually kind of fun. Being cordless is great because it’s simple to take with me. Loaned it to my girlfriend who cut up a tree that fell in her backyard.
