I have the old V28 version of this saw, and at it’s age, compared to our corded saws, this is the clear winner, by far.We did have to adjust to it’s right-handed design, but that’s how most cordless saws are, here in Australia. The blades go in backwards, and you have to hold it slightly differently.But when you adjust to that, not dragging cords is a boon that outweighs the learning curve.It is also notable that hard power seems to be harder to get on a construction site lately. Thanks, carbon tax! But I digress…Most corded saws at 3 years of age, after constant use, will need servicing, if they’re not completely dead by year 2, purely because the cord comes loose. This is not possible with these cordless tools.I regret that I’m reviewing an old product, but knowing Milwaukee, the M28 is better than the V28.

I dont use every day,only for quick cuts signboard,plywood & 2x4sseemed to get stuck at first but i was pushing too hard.Was so used to corded saw. Figured out u have 2 let the saw work at its pace.Slightly slower than corded saw. But convenience is priceless,No looking for outlets or extension cords with this saw. Just mark & cut, not sure on battery life i’ve never drained a battery cutting. Dont use it enough.Most i cut at 1 time was 8-4’x8′ plywood in 3 peices ea. battery was not at full when i started so im impressed so far.

Keep this handy, and you find yourself picking it up just as readily as you would a hammer or tape measure. Lightweight, yet powerful, it becomes just another handtool to reach for. You almost want to hang it onto your tool belt! I’ve been using mine for several years now with absolutely NO problems or regrets.
