M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Compact Vacuum provides users with the most powerful and adaptable handheld cleanup tool. A clear view and easy to empty canister provides added convenience. When I first got this vacuum, it worked great. I hooked it up to my router’s dust extractor and was able to do routing in my workshop. The locked switch enabled me to do this. BUT NOW, it shuts off after a minute of vacuuming, I wait, and it turns back on. I changed the filter, ensured I had a fully charged battery and cleaned the inside of the unit. IT STILL SHUTS OFF AFTER A MINUTE OF WORKING! YUCK! Spoke to the people at Milwaukee and they said, send it in and we’ll check it. No answer as to the problem.

After 14 months of almost daily use in our kitchen, picking up dry spills and pet hair, it started turning itself off. It would run for about a minute or more then shut off. After removing battery for a sec and reconnecting it, it would run again for another minute. Sending it off to Milwaukee today for warranty (repair?). Still worth it. As a cordless household vac, this is still a great value to me. I have a lot of M18 batteries.
