I bought this drill on sale and attached to it Milwaukee’s 33 degree angle drive extension kit. Huge time saver in the electrical trade! Saves lots of trips up and down a ladder. In order to attach the kit I had to remove the chuck and found it to be a small challenge of a process for never having done it before. I wish instructions on the process were a bit better. After putting the drill and extension to work, I found the drill to be pretty good. When using a 1 inch auger bit it seems to have enough power to get through 3 studs stacked together, so 4 1/2 to 5 inches of solid wood, but after that it tends to bog down. I may just try different auger bits to see if it changes performance. This drill has a variable speed of up to 600 rpm. I’m wondering if the non-variable of 500 rpm model might have a bit more power. But if i’m careful to not ask too much of it, the drill does its job. I also put on a 1 1/2 inch forstner bit for drilling through BCI joists and had absolutley no problems. It was fantastic! Overall I’m pleased with this drill but do wish it had just a bit more power (When using with the angle drive extension kit). I’ve only had the drill about a month now but I do expect it to hold up just fine as these drills are known to last.
