The Milwaukee 1/2 in. Hole Hawg drill 900 rpm reversing drill with pipe handle works great for those tight spaces in between studs and joists. The drill is very easy to control and doesn’t have any problem with tough jobs. The 900 rpm makes it’s way easily thru the toughest of jobs. It can handle up to 2-9/16 selfeed bits and has an 8th cord for plenty of reach.

Milwaukee products are one of the best made. This 1/2 inch Hole Hawg Drill is no exception. The only thing I would change and this is a personal preference is the location of the reversing switch. It is located too close to the on/off switch where I think it could be bumped into the opposite direction by accident. Otherwise I think it is a quality made tool that should last a long time with proper care. The pipe handle will fit on either side of the drill.

The Milwaukee 1675-6 Hole Hawg drill lives up to my expectations. It has a great amount torque and easily drives a 4-1/8 inch holesaw through a 2 x 10 rim joist. Because of its size, it fits in between studs and does a great job boring 1” to 1-1/2” holes through plates and studs. When using the Hole Hawg, keep in mind that this drill is heavy and powerful and can twist out of your hands if it binds up in the wood, but using the 1” pipe handle braced against a nearby stud should prevent this.

I’m super impressed with my new 1670-1 Milwaukee 1/2 inch Hole Hawg 900 RPM reversing drill. The Hole Hawg has long been the work horse drill used by professionals and I’m delighted to have one of my own. It has a powerful 7.5 amp motor and this single speed model delivers up to 900RPM. It has a 2 position auxiliary handle for bracing when drilling requires lots of torque. It will drill up to 2 9/16″ in wood and up to 7/16″ twist bit for steel. The 8′ rubberized cord is flexible and is a great length for the job site. I’d definitely recommend the Milwaukee Hole Hawg for the professional or homeowner doing their own building or remodel.

The Milwaukee Hole Hawg is probably one of the most classic tools of all time, Once you pick it up you can feel its weight and tell its solidly made, It will steadily drill thru most anything, can mix big after bag of grout and cement, I constantly dump premixed cement into 5 gallon buckets and with a Home Depot Model # FT7003 mixing paddle, mix up whatever amount of cement I need,, I have mixed as many as 14 bags in one day without the drill dying or stalling…. If you look at the pics below You can see my old Hole Hawg, It was given to me 12 years ago, By an older friend who said he bought it in the 60’s… after almost 55 years Its finally getting tired, It still works but needs a new set of brushes and a new trigger switch, which works sometimes but No one has the trigger switch in stock,,So I do still use it. I also use it as a motor for my tomato machine, when we can tomatoes… It will run all day grinding tomatoes without overheating or stalling,,, I’m so excited to have my new drill knowing I wont have to buy another for the rest of my life .Its fresh and much stronger than my old one and as you can see they are hardly different at all,,,, You know the old saying if it ain’t broke, dont fix it,,,, Milwaukee has improved it in a few little places and the new one is all clean and shiny…..Another quality product from the folks at Milwaukee,,,,
