I am a professional central vacuum installer (the guy that puts PVC pipe in the walls). I use my Super Hawg on every rough-in that I do, I would never even consider using anything else (unless Milwaukee finds a way to somehow improve it). In a decade of use, the Super Hawg has continually proven it’s value. The right-angle design allows me to use it in tight spaces. It brings enough torque to get through virtually anything. Best of all, it’s clutch has saved me from several potential injuries over the years. Before I was introduced to the Super Hawg, I used a tool that didn’t have a clutch. I hit a hidden knot, the tool spun out of my control and I was left with a broken thumb. If I hit a similar obstacle with my Super Hawg, the clutch kicks in. The handle pulls only a few inches before everything safely stops. I would recommend the Super Hawg with no reservations.

First one I got broke in the first hour of using it. It just stopped working for no reason. I had to return it and order a new one that took a week to ship.

use tool on new homes, plenty of power, only thing I don’t like is placement of reverse switch can be hit accidently while drilling.

no joke best hole hawg ever! i remember when they first came out with this model. i was beside myself with how awesome the tool worked for me. ive owned it for well over 10 plus years! and its still going strong! you wont be sorry if you buy the tool. im a licenced electrician and this is all we use when building new homes, make sure you have sharp bits and it wont let you down. it will even drive dull bits through wood.

I used this drill to run a 2.75 inch auger to drill holes around a line of stumps I was removing. It worked perfectly and drilled the holes effortlessly. Regrettably, once the auger hit an obstruction and the drill pulled itself out of my hands and hit a block wall. The result was a broken handle and reversing switch. I can’t fault the drill, but rather myself as I wasn’t quick enough to turn it off. Parts are on order….
