Awesome headlamp! This Mikwaukee rechargable headlamp for hard hats arrived quickly and well packaged to prevent damage. All pieces included in a blister pack. I selected it basically because it is a Milwaukee product and rechargable. I like the several illuminating settings and a very clever rear red LED light strip in solid or flashing modes. I plan to use it on my bicycle helmet to keep me safe in the front as well the rear from approaching cars. Also, it can be used without a hard hat or helnet by pulling the strap to take up some slack and taping it. Also put a cushion weather strip patch on the front to cushion it against your forehead. It is currently set up to use on my head without any hardhat/helmet. The photo depicts that. It’s a versatile headlamp! The quality is the best. I love it!

Really bright, a little heavy on your hard hat. Stays in place really well without the clips.

Hate the flashing light on the back of it but oh well. It’s kind of heavy too. I like the 475 watt version better even though it’s long as bright.

I use this Hard Hat Light on our grain drying and handling operation works great. Love the brightness. Really lights up the work area inside a grain bin or grain dryer. I have not had a problem with the battery life but I do not need it on for hours on end. The only problem I have is that I lost 1 of the clips that hold it to my hard hat and can not seem to find anyone that sells replacements. I would would think that this would be a common problem.

This is a superb headlamp, perfect for any kind of work you might do in the dark or at night. It has 6 different settings on the front lamp: 3 levels of spotlight, 3 levels of floodlight. The lowest level of floodlight is great for most work you’ll be doing at night, and gives you hours of charged time. The most intense spotlight can pick a critter out of the woods at 100 yards (seriously, their eyes flicker at you right away). For the safety conscious, there’s also a red strip on the back that can be set to shine solid or flash so your buddy doesn’t run you over with the tractor when you’re out doing a job at night. The only downside is that it is a bit on the heavy side, but I think it’s worth it for the quality of light you get.

The ” Head Lamps” I have used for the last few years have worked so well, ( I think they are 400 Lumens) that I have tried to find rechargeable ones with the same Lumen rating or higher with multiple lumen settings. The ones I now use go through 3 AAA batteries in about 3 hours. When I ordered this Milwaukee 600 Lumen Headlamp, I was so thrilled with its features that I did not notice that it actually made to be used on a hard hat. But after receiving this Headlamp and charging it up I liked it so well that even though I am retired and no longer wear a hard hat, it just took a few minutes to take a tuck in the head band to be able to use it without the hard hat, works Great! Check out the pictures I attached with this report.

My husband needed it for work to anchor underneath the roof; he says it provides enough light to work even on low; stays in place on his hard hat and able to adjust and direct the light where he needs it

I need some advice on how to disconnect the light from the headband in order to clean the headband? The 475 lm can be disconnected but how do I do the disconnect on the Beacon?

It works great, very bright, but battery power does not last a full 8 hour or even 10 hour shift of work.

Excellent light but needs a adjustable head strap so you can use it without a hardhat. If you guys could make a second non hardhat version would be great.

This is an excellent light – but note it really IS for a hard hat; the strap is not adjustable for use without a hard hat.

I have had many head lights and this is the best, with the rechargeable battery is a major plus It runs longer with that bright L.E.D.
