The actual light is excellent, but the band is not adjustable! I did not know that even with some research……

I love the lights the only thing i have problems with is the length of time they run on high and medium power i have every light they have head lamp ×2 flashlight×2 swivel flood light stick light × 2. And charging them every nite is hard to. I do love the fact that i can interchange the batteries from one to another i would recommend these lights as long as u can remember to charge them after every use

Light works great and lasts a very long time on a full charge. I find it comfortable to wear as well. It’s a little heavier than most headlamps but it’s rugged and gets the job done. Definitely a must for working at night or in dark spaces.

This is a very nice quality Milwaukee hard hat light made for hard hats but can be used on other hats as well with just a few adjustments. There are several adjustments that can be made rather easily with the push of a button depending on how bright you want the light to be and believe me the brightness is very bright on the highest setting. Please do not look directly at the light when changing the brightness as it will momentarily blind you. One of the nicest things about this is the battery is rechargeable and comes with the cord that you can plug into your computer. This is an ideal light if you do any type of canvasing at night or maybe a church visitation group. Do yourself a favor go on down to Home Depot and pick up one for yourself. I also believe this would be a good light to keep on your boat as a safety measure for breaking down.

This is an extremely strong light, with a number of modes. There is a spot light mode that easily throws light 100 ft into the darkness. Take extra care not to look at someone in the face when you are wearing this! There is also a ‘wide angle’ flood light that throws out a broad light, and this light can be set to three different brightness levels. (400, 150 and 25 lumens.) The spotlight and a medium brightness version of the flood can both be switched on at the same time too, giving 5 different modes that are selected with a mode button. The light ‘remembers’ what mode it is on and returned to the last used mode when it is switched on again. In addition to the five modes of the front lights there is also a red illuminated strap around the back of the head that has three modes, constant on, flashing and off. These modes are controlled by its own mode button at the back. The front light units is 4 inches long as it contains a big 3 inch battery. It can be tilted 180° from fully upwards to fully downwards. The Lithium-ion battery is charged up via a USB plug. The charging cable is included and plugs into a standard USB type A port, but no charger is included. This is fine as we tend to have these already. The Milwaukee battery can be replaced. It is a 4V 10Wh battery. The charging status is shown with green and red LED lights, red means charging and when done it indicates with a constant green.I use this light by placing it around my neck and letting the light sit on my chest below my chin. It lights up whatever is in front of me without having anything on my head. It also reduces the chances of blinding other people I am working with, if I look at them. Two clips are also provided to clip the strap onto a hard hat. There is some stretch to the strap but it is not otherwise adjustable. An 8 hour run time is claimed for the medium flood mode. 4 hours for bright (or spot) and 20 hours for the low level. There is also some highly reflective material on the strap.Very suitable for everyday worksite use.The light has a limited lifetime warranty and the USB battery a 2 year warranty.Made in China.

Like the versatility of the different light temperatures though it would be great if it lasted longer at the high lumes it’s only about half the time need to remember to turn on and off

A decent hard hat headlamp is hard to come by, especially a universal one (that isn’t for a specific brand or type of hard hat). I was quite pleased to see this new headlamp made by Milwaukee. We use standard hard hats and were putting regular head type headlamps on our hard hats. It worked but it wasn’t something I was really content with. The Milwaukee hard hat light is really thought out. From the internally silicone lined band to the red safety BEACON lighted visibility band and reflective striping – this is the headlamp to help you see your way around AND be seen. This headlamp can’t be used without a hard hat. It won’t even work on a ball cap. It is designed to fit the hard shell of a hard hat. It could work with bike helmets with some tweaks – which makes this another great purpose for this headlamp; nighttime biking. The options of this headlamp are well worth boasting. There are two LED beams; 1 is spotlight (1 level of light) and the other is the floodlight (3 levels of lighting). You can use the combination of spotlight and high flood light level flood for maximum visibility. There is one button for ON/OFF while the other button is light selection and lighting level. A power OFF/ON restores to the last light setting when turned off.The back light band has it’s own separate switch OFF/ON/FLASHING. It is driven from the same battery as the headlamp. My battery life seems be running about what Milwaukee stated. I usually use HIGH flood and get roughly 5 hours of life before I see fuel gauge change to red.The fuel gauge is another added convenient feature. It is located at the built-in charging port. The led will the battery life through colors of green, yellow and red.Unfortunately you can’t use a “juice pack” to bump the power while using the headlamp. Plugging in the USB charge port disables the light output, but you can continue to recharge the battery via any USB power supply. The battery is removable for charging with a Milwaukee 4 volt, however, that isn’t included with the headlamp.Overall this is a great headlamp, made for the harsh environment. Even the battery compartment is sealed to keep out dust and moisture. A great design by Milwaukee!!

Hate the flashing light on the back of it but oh well. It’s kind of heavy too. I like the 475 watt version better even though it’s long as bright.

I used in construction. I come early in the morning and everywhere is dark and I can’t see anything I carry tool bags in my hands when I have the flashlight on my hardhat. it is very bright ,I could see around me where to walk ,or when I am working with my hands my hands are free to do my job.

Simple installation and use, once you get it OUT OF THE PACKAGING! I love the 4 different settings and multiple tilting locations available. I haven’t had it long enough to say how long the battery lasts after a USB charge

I chose this Milwaukee hard hat headlamp specifically for a nature hike that included some cave exploration. I did not use the lamp with a hardhat or cap on, placing it directly on my head and it fit comfortably. The 600 lumens provided plenty of light for what I was doing, emitting light a good distance in front of me. It was ideal for walking without holding a flashlight. Love that it is rechargeable.

I use 2 of these and run non stop.

it has very good light in almost all modes. It fell with my hard hat out of a 9′ ceiling, did not come off of my hat but it did bust open. I got it snapped back together & it still works!! Don’t think it will take much higher of a fall & survive again. It is pretty heavy for a headlight. That is why I only gave it 4 stars.

great light wish they made it so you can use it without a helmet

This is an incredibly bright and powerful light that is very stout and built heavy duty. This fits perfectly on my hardhat and doesn’t move around or slide off. The head swivels up and down depending on where you need to look. This is super helpful because there’s a big difference between looking at stuff up close and way down the road. The light has a number of different settings. The first is the spot light and the next has the spot and dispersion light. The brightness settings are really nice too. The lowest would be good for battery life and walking through buildings or just being seen out on the road. The brightest illuminates a large area and when combined with the spot light there’s almost nothing I can’t see. The spot light illuminates a great distance away. The red light on the back of the headband is super helpful for being seen when outside. This would be perfect for working along a highway or out in the woods. The blinking setting is perfect for quickly catching the eye. This also sits on a baseball cap well with little movement and it was bright enough that I could make hand puppets 50 feet up the road for my kids. I haven’t tried it, but this seems like it would also work well on a bicycle helmet. I’m very impressed with this light. It is heavy duty and built to last, you can recharge it easily so there’s no need for changing batteries, and it is incredibly bright – highly recommend
