This light is very bright, and works well as an area light and spotlight. I have used it extensively for the two weeks that I have owned it upon writing this review. Dirt and grime has had no effect on the light. The only two issues that I have are the battery life and what I believe is the light/battery overheating. The battery life is about two hours of off and on usage being used on either spotlight or the brightest area light setting. The overheating I refer to happens when I go to change the lighting mode after the light has been on for about 30 minutes. The light will shutoff and it takes a couple of attempts of pressing the mode button and power button to get the light back on. This has only happened a couple times and the light comes back on under a minute so I don’t see it as a major issue as I have had other led headlamps that will “overheat” and either shutoff without warning or change lighting mode. The light also fits well on my safari style hard hat. Other than the issues mentioned above, which were only minor in my opinion, this light functions great. I have had a handful of co-workers compliment how great my light was and ask where I got it. I also purchased a spare battery after reading some other reviews that talked about poor battery life just in case.

Super bright when needed and adjustable to less bright when that is best. This product is listed as a hard hat headlamp but the strap is adjustable in back so that I can also use it without a hard hat. The back of the product has a glowing red band that is either steady or flashing so that the the user can be seen by someone behind the user. The outstanding lighting feature of this light is the multiple brightness settings, the brightest of which is so bright that looking into it directly is unpleasant. Below that super bright setting are other less-bright settings that make this light work well for close-up work and also for work that benefits from not having a super bright light. The USB charging is very nice and with USB outlets in cars and homes and other places this light can be charged in many locations.

I gave this a 4 out of 5 due to the fact that depending on where you are, you can have the beacon(red light in the back and on the sides on and not even realize it. I found that in open spaces this ia much more common as in confined spaces, you will probably see the light bouncing off of other services. The main reason for a loss of a star, is that I use my foresty hardhat a lot, and this head lamp could not be used with it due to the visor and ear muffs interferring with the band. This is a great product overall. I was able to use this with and without a hard hat. When you turn the light on, the battery indicator stays on for 3 seconds and will either be green amber, or red. When the battery is low, the light will flash 3x as a warning that the battery needs to be recharged. There is a power button in the back to turn on the beacon/ red light on the back and sides. This mode has 2 modes, solid and strobe. This would be great for visibility during emergencies or if you are walking or riding a bike a night, this can be used to alert drivers of your presence. The light has a dedicated power and a mode selector button which is nice. 5 modes, spot flood , spot and flood, high, med ,low for the flood / area wide light. I had another headlamp light and the frequency of the light interfered with the pics and videos that is not the case here. The freq of the light will determine if your pics / videos will have a horizontal band in them , in case you have to take a picture or video to document your findings, you will have a more accurate picture. Also the light is more of a cool blue than a warm light. The battery is in a compartment on that front of the lightSuggestions:I would like to see a onekey version, it would be helpful to help locate if missing, it could have a feature to locate light let it flash a few times, or have the ability for a supervisor to access the same function, in the event of an accident and an employee cannot operate it, they could activate it to find and rescue them.

The light is definitely bright enough to serve many a persons needs but the reliability is an area to require major improvements. The high beam works most fo the time but the low beam quit working and I have not had any luck getting it to work right. I press the power button and nothing, the charge light comes on frequently when I press the on off button. Only the pone side works though. It is a great concept but for the big price it should work better. Now that I am trying to get it to light up so I can show the one side only working I can’t get anything to come on. Only the charge LED flashes..

I received this as a gift from my wife in December, the light is the brightest anyone has seen including me. Unfortunately the battery life is extremely poor, and now it won’t even charge! I took the battery out again and again, still no charge light and it will not take a charge. I’m afraid I have to say the light produced it amazing but what good is a light when the battery is inadequate. I don’t recommend this product unfortunately.
