Very robust led light with great output. Marketed for linemen but it can be so much more! Now, all I need is the hanging hook!!!!!

I love all Milwaukee products. I have two other led light which I think are great. And so is this one’ I kow they advertise this as a light for utility workers on power poles so they can hang it above the work area. It can be used for emergency lighting in a power outage. I’m a painter and I’ve already used it on a job. Had to paint a small bathroom where there was no electricity and my helper was using my big light so I hung this from the bathroom fan and it lit up the room great. I recommend it.

This Milwaukee Hot Stick light is designed for utility linemen to disconnect power line breakers or fuses. This kit includes 2 batteries, AC charger, 12 volt charger, and a heavy duty charging cord that works with either charger. The light has a mounting bracket to be put on a fiberglass pole on one end and a universal mount bracket on the opposite end. It has 2 brightness settings, 100 lumens, and 350 lumens. I’m a huge Milwaukee fan because of the high quality tools they offer, this light is typical Milwaukee high quality.

This is a purpose built tool for those working as electric utility linemen. You attach this at the end of the hot stick, put your disconnect on the other end, and basically is an extension of the hot stick, with a very very very bright flashlight to help guide the hook end into the disconnect to allow the switchover. You don’t realize how bright 350 lumens is until you are working an outage and have to make the switch in the dark. This really works great. It comes with two batteries, the charger, and the tool. An excellent tool and an excellent value. When it is dark, holding a flashlight in one hand and trying to get into the disconnect at the same time, is not an easy task. As always, this is made with Milwaukee quality and presents itself as a solid built product.

This is one FANTASTIC work light. Don’t be fooled by the “Utility Hot Stick” part! While it is directly applicable to utility work, once you have adapted to “hanging” this light it is quite remarkable how much light it generates. My eyesight is still decent (age has taken its tolls) but even on the lower setting, which provides excellent battery life, you can provide enough light to move about in a small room. On the higher setting, the output is great and the battery still will last several hours. With two batteries and a seperate charger (USB cable and adapters included) this is my go to portable lighting device.

This Milwaukee tool is top quality and is built specifically for the electric utility lineman. It increases visibility on the jobsight therefore increasing safety. The light doesn’t interfere with hot stick attachments and really helps with doing fuse cutouts. It is designed to work with all universal hot sticks and attachments. The case is very rigid and the thumb screw holds hot stick attachments securely. The hot stick light can charge the battery inside it with the included usb cable, but the kit also includes a second battery and charger including a car and house adapter so you can always have a charged battery ready to go wherever you are.

This is a another high quality specialty tool from a great manufacturer. The light has a very heavy duty feel to it. (Along with the charger, cable, and adapters.). All have a high sense of outstanding quality! The charger cable is very durable with a coated cable. The light itself is extremely bright! The kit comes with a wall charger and car cigarette charger. The batteries install very easy with guide marks to make sure that the battery is installed correctly. Very user friendly!! The kit doesn’t come with the hot stick or hooks. Great product & I would strongly recommend!!

Milwaukee’s new USB Rechargeable Utility Hot Stick Light will help you make quick work of late night callouts by giving you two separate LED’s putting out 350 lumens of halo lighting at the end of your hot stick. Re-fusing cutouts in the dark can be frustrating and dangerous. The in-line design will allow linemen to operate their stick like the light is not even there. This hot stick light is tough enough for any environment and it gives the user the added benefit of adjustable output levels; up to 8 hours on a single charge. It is tested up to 100Kv and it’s lightweight design means that you will have the added convenience of a light without adding weight to the end of your stick.

Every Maintenance department should have a hot stick flashlight for their electricians to use and be safe. This Milwaukee 350 Lumen rechargeable is a good one to have. I’ve never been in a manufacturing plant where you did not have 480V overhead busbars with enclosures and switches that needed to be tripped whenever equipment was moved, or the floor configuration was changed. Because you never know exactly what all is connected to what, once you trip a switch the whole area may go dark making it difficult to see to trip the switch back on. Not with this flash light attached to your hot stick though, it really lights up the area and lets you really see what you’re doing to get your business back up and running safely. This unit fits on a universal head hot stick between the stick body and the switch or discharge head. There is one LED light on each side for a total of 350 Lumens (high) or 100 Lumens (low) of light. I tested the battery life at a little over 2 1/2 hrs. on high and over 7 but less than 8 on low. If in use (on) the LED lights and red fuel level indicator will blink on and off three times when the battery reaches 3% power remaining or approx. 10 min. more of light. What is nice about the Red Lithium batteries is that they do not dim as their power is depleted so you’re working light is as bright at 3% as it is at 100%. Weight is only 7 oz. and unit is rated IP67 water and dust proof. The body has an aluminum center or “back bone” High impact plastic covers on each side. The Red “next generation” Lithium battery can be charged in the actual light or in the separate charger through a micro USB port, I used my cell phone charger and it took approx. 2 hrs. to charge from complete dead to fully charged. The unit does come with both household and car USB adapters, cables and 2 batteries. When the power button is pressed a power level indicator light will come on for approx. 5 sec. Solid green 50-100% charged, solid yellow 11-49% charged, solid red 3-10% charged and blinking red is 0-3% or pretty much just about dead. Unit has been tested for up 100K loads and 40 ft. drops. This light can be used in multiple other ways and it just comes down to it being a great light. This is another excellent Milwaukee product, well made and very versatile. Most home owners or DIY’er will never need this for tripping switches on busbars but it is also a great flashlight with limitless uses and is readily rechargeable from just about anywhere. Highly recommended for any industrial electrician or for the home.

Electical utility workers re-fusing cutouts often deal with rain, wind, trees and darkness. This 350 lumens of light coming from 2 separate LED’s attaches to the Hot Stick, adding 8 to10 ounces of weight. A spotlight from the ground may get blocked by trees and/or buildings so having a bright illumination source at the end of the stick is a real advantage. The battery will last 2 hours at full brightness. However, this package includes not only a spare battery but a separate charger with both 120 VAC and 12 VDC adapters. The advantage here is the ability to be charging one battery in the truck while using the other one. Hitting the switch a 2nd time reduces the output to 100 Lumens with 8 hour battery life. This light tool is quite waterproof, and it should survive a drop up to 40 feet without damage. Best of all, it comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

I have to admit, I ordered this online thinking I was getting a really solid rechargeable flashlight for emergencies like hurricanes. I thought “Hot Stick” was a brand name–I didn’t realize it’s the technical term for those sticks that electrical linemen use when working on lines. So I can’t speak to how well this thing fits on a hot stick, or how useful it might be out in the field. I can say, though, that this thing really lives up to expectations as a very intense light source with great battery length. It lasts over 8 hours on one charge at the lower light setting, and recharges fully in less than a couple hours. Two batteries are included in the package, and you can recharge the unit directly, using a mini-USB charger, or you can recharge a battery in a separate charger. It includes both a power block for charging at a home outlet, and a 12-volt adapter for charging in your car. So, in the end, as an emergency light source, this is a really awesome flashlight.

This Milwaukee Utility Hot Stick Light kit is an effective way of providing 350 lumens of 360 degree overhead light in an area for 2 hours or 100 lumens for 8 hours on a single charge. For me that is 4 hours of 350 lumen lighting until lunch, recharge first battery when changed, second battery during lunch, and 4 hours of light after lunch. The light is robust in construction with a 5/16 inch thick aluminum backbone and sturdy plastic parts angled to provide 40 foot impact resistance. It is also waterproof to 1 meter and dustproof. Not many lights are ready to do all that. The end connections are set up for use with Milwaukee’s Hot Stick Poles and there is a warning about using alternative non-certified poles but no suggestion of what the dangers might be. This light is Red Lithium rechargeable battery powered using a USB connection. The kit has a second battery, high output USB charger, USB cord and adapters for connection to 120 volt or to a cigarette lighter outlet. That makes it rechargeable almost anywhere especially with USB outlets so ubiquitous these days. With the second battery and charger this kit keeps the light on continuously. Both the light and the charger have charge indicators. This is a nice light kit.

I have been waiting for a my shot at using my utility shot stick flashlight. The unit definitely stands up to the Milwaukee name and the craftsmanship is superb. I like the illumination and the fact that you can adjust between two different strengths. It is quick to mount on the utility pole and does add a useful benefit to a nighttime call out; however, I do question if the additional weight offsets its usefulness. It is very handy to have and I will continue to use it as the need arises.,
