As far as I am concerned Milwaukee could have sat on the prior generation Rocket lights and probably still been the leader in lighting among the tool brands. But they didn’t and they really knocked it out of the park with this new Rocket light that comes at you with a top output of 6,000 lumens. There are 3 light settings on this one with the top being the 6,000 lumens the middle option putting out 3,200 lumens, and the low setting giving you 1,700 lumens. The Rocket light kit comes with an 8Ah Battery which gives you plenty of run time with this light. At the high setting you are getting 3.5 hours of run time at 6,000 lumens. That to me is an awesome deal. The middle setting is getting you 5 hours of run time on an 8Ah battery and the low setting is giving you 10 hours of runtime on the 8ah battery. I have not tested the run time for the medium and low settings but did on the high setting and even though the light was outside in cold weather it still gave the 3.5 hours of run time. The light is really well constructed by Milwaukee and feels like it will hold up well to the worksite daily abuse. The light goes from 4′ to 7′ very quickly. Milwaukee claims 5 second setup time which is very accurate, my first time using it was able to get the light fully extended in about 7 seconds and now it generally takes me 5 seconds to set it up. To help prevent tip over the light legs extended out to give you a sturdy base of 27″ which is nice and compact but still sturdy that you don’t fear it will tip over every time it takes a hit. The Milwaukee team also gave it a low center of gravity that really assists with being hard to knock over. The Rocket Light also has very nice carry rail and handle that allows for easy one hand carry and the weight disbursement for the light makes it well balanced when carry it.The light head itself offers multi directional capabilities. The three lights on the head can be adjusted to multiple angles which helps out immensely. The light head itself also has the capability to be positioned at multiple angles. The positioning of the individual lights or light head is super easy and hold there spot well after being moved. I believe they are all friction held so they might wear down after a ton of use but think that would be a log time down the road. The light itself is hybrid so can be powered by the M18 battery or a power cord. The light comes with an 8.0 Ah battery but can easily hold the 12Ah battery if you wanted extended run time. The light is also a charger, Milwaukee made this with an integrated charger so if you do plug it in and put a battery in there you can get it charged during the day. I am not sure what time of charging time you get with this one, I think it is more likely charging at the standard charger rate . The light also has a 2.1 amp charger built into the base so you can charge your phone while you are running your light.Other pluses with this light is that it is impact resistant and IP54 rating for water and dust. The light also comes with very nice and high quality carrying bag. To be honest the bag is [probably the best bag Milwaukee has provided with their tools before. It is a well constructed canvas bag that has padding in it to help protect the light more during transport.Overall I would say if you are looking to upgrade your jobsite lighting then you must consider this light. Milwaukee has really knocked it out of the park with this. Truly a great light with some great features.

I believe this would qualify as the king of Milwaukee M18 Rocket lights. This 6000 lumen LED light is a sight to behold and all the extra features really makes the difference. My observations:• Few lights are this easy to set up and take down. Once you pull it out of the included bag I can have this light set up and ready in less than 10 seconds and that is really taking my time. Also, I appreciate that there are no pinch points that can get your fingers. I have another light that has more than once tore up my finger. This light has a really well thought out design.• The carrying bag is durable and the zipper does not get stuck anywhere. Best part, the light fits in the bag well but not too tight. Simply said, you will not spend a full minute trying to get it to fit into the bag like some other lights. With this light, you will have the light completely folded up and in the bag/zipped up in about 15-20 seconds.• The light has plenty of adjustments and allows up to 7 feet in height along with the ability to freely rotate the 3 lights to either create a full light spread to light up an entire room/outdoor area or you can focus all 3 lights onto one area.• The light itself is clean and bright. I added a pic taken at night with it pointed up into some trees. I don’t own any other light that produces that type of lumen output in such clean detail.• The 3 intensity settings are helpful. Each provides a subtle lumen difference that you will notice.• The M18 XC8.0 Ah battery is a beast. Anyone that knows these batteries already understands the power and longevity they can create.• I like how I can use a power cord (if needed) which removes any concern about a battery running down. Once plugged in, I now have a battery charger to get my M18 batteries back up to full charge.• The 2.1 Ah USB port will allow to you to charge your cell phone, etc. off the M18 battery. Most people will appreciate that.• The light is stable as it sits on the 3 leg stand. You will need to make a purposeful effort to knock down this light.• I found it easy to move around with the carry handle/rail.This light/kit is well made and everything worked as I expected. I expect years and years of good service from it. I fully recommend.
