We got this light thinking it would be great for camping, during emergencies, and power outages. I am glad we did! This is a really great light that is super bright with three different brightness levels. The lowest brightness level is powerful enough to light your entire campground on a dark night. If the power goes out at the house, this one lamp is enough to light up an entire floor with an open floor plan. This would also make a great light for a workshop. The battery used is a rechargeable 18-Volt battery similar to the type of battery used in power tools, so it has a long life.

Very bright. Great for the worksite

Very well built / Provides exceptional all-around lighting / Hopefully, the price will drop or Milwaukee will put it on sale sometime next year. If so, I’ll probably buy another.

I always wanted a site light but they were too expensive. I am a tool junky and love working on various projects. The lighting is superior to anything I have ever had. I always show everyone my tools, etc and they are so envious of me. I am a woman and that really makes the men in my life go nuts! I am so happy to this light. It has come in handy many times.

It works as good as advertised, but the room must be real dark to really know it.

Love the light very much . I like the feature of in/out electric it actually had enought through it to power my paint sprayer without the light flickering when running . The only downside for that kind of money is it does not charge a battery while being plugged in which would be awesome .

Extremely useful. Adjustable brightness and different modes work perfectly

Uniform light output all over, 1/2 area option, variable light output AC in and out capability along with 3 hanging options all work together to make this light super useful. I love it. Thanks Milwaukee.

More than enough light to get the job done. Absolutely love it and definitely recommend it.

The light functions well, but it is not meant to be used in harsh conditions. It would work fine for inside work. I am lowering it down a drilled shaft to check verticality, so I am sure I am using it well beyond it’s intended use, but the electrical connections are suspect to corrosion and failure.

One of the best lights on the market other than other Milwaukee lights like the the rocket ones, or the new rover light.

Awesome light! Only crappy part is, it will not charge a battery, at all.

This is an excellent product for not just the jobsite, but to have in case of an emergency. I was able to light up a HUGE portion of my home with this while on the brightest setting. I used an M18 battery in this, but the largest battery it will take is the M28. There are three different brightness settings on this lantern and they are all fairly bright. The lantern itself without the battery is fairly heavy and is significantly heavier with the battery installed. The lantern can be mounted upside down with the attached bracket, but caution should be used because of how heavy this is, it may be difficult to mount upside down by yourself. Battery life drains fairly quickly on the highest setting, but you will get a few hours on the lowest setting, even with the M18 battery.

This light is great. It takes the place of a dozen trouble light outputs and the convenience of a battery powered drill. This light is incredibly bright. On max output mode, if you look straight into it, it will give you floaters. Overall, sturdy construction. It does have some weight to it, and it feels sturdy, but nothing unmanageable. Adding in a larger 5.0AH battery makes it much heavier. This light is built to last a long time. When on max output, it puts out little heat, so it can run for a long time without issues. It lights up a room much better than your traditional jobsite light, with many advantages. Like your typical jobsite light, this light can plug in to standard 120V power via an extension cord, and it also serves as a through put, so you can plug into the light as well. This prevents the light from completely hogging an outlet, which can be very valuable in some situations, and also lets the light serve as part of an extension cord, so that you have to stretch fewer out. This is a nice feature to be included. Since this is an M18 tool, it can also be powered off of the M18 batteries, and it performs just as well as being plugged in. It gets great battery life when running this way. I did not clock how long it takes to drain, but on full blast with a 5.0 AH battery, one hour did not lose one part of the battery meter. The light has three controls. A master power, to turn the light on and off. A dimmable light level button, to change between light level outputs. A zone control, to switch between all on, front/top on, back/top on. This is useful in scenarios where you don’t need the entire light at full blast, and helps cater the tool to your scenario. The bottom side of the light has a self-centering hanger, that allows you to hang the light from a well supported pipe or other overhead item. This allows the light to be hung up in a room like a traditional finish light fixture. Most jobsite lights arent capable of this because they dont have the feature, but are also huge and heavy. This light is light enough the it will easily hang from any well supported pipe.I really wish that I could have gotten a good picture to show how bright this thing is, and how well it lights up a room, but any picture that I took just turned into a giant white blob. The LEDs have enough output that the camera lens is not physically capable of compensating, no matter how much time I give the light.Overall, an awesome tool to put in your repertoire, especially if invested into the M18 line already. Super happy to have this light, and it is an everyday tool for me now. It is so compact and easy to take, and you never know when you’ll need it. Makes electrical work easy when you need to cut power to lights / rooms.

I’ve been using the m18 Radius compact site lite, and its an outstanding tool. It’s bright, portable, your can set it on countertops, stairs, or other unique places for an area light. Great for big areas and small areas, like kitchens, bathrooms, has a big hook to hang from overhead if needed.
