This is a very reasonably priced Laser Temperature thermometer when you look at how well it is built and that you get different modes, such as minimum temp and maximum temp alerts with hold as well.very rugged and has a great display. I own a Fluke unit and I like the display on this one better. I am not worried like I am with my fluke, the Milwaukee will survive a fall with no problem. This Milwaukee unit gives you more features for the money than some of the higher end units.

I’m a HVAC tech, so thermometers that give fast, accurate readings are a must, and that is exactly what the Milwaukee 2267-20 delivers. I can instantly take return air temperatures, supply air temperatures, coil temperatures, etc. and after extensive comparisons between the “ray gun” as I have dubbed it and a conventional calibrated thermometer, I am confident that the readings from the ray gun are spot on. I haven’t really tried to measure any temperatures at any further than 2′-3′ away, but I don’t need to ever be the max range away from anything that I’m working on. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s too big to comfortably carry in my pocket and it doesn’t fit in my service bag and there’s no mechanical trigger lock to stop it from taking random measurements while it’s in my pocket.

This is a simple-to-use IR temperature gun that allows you to take a quick temperature measurement of a particular area without taking a reading of everything else in the area. It has a 10:1 spot ratio, which means that the temperature sensor spot is 1-foot from 10-feet away. If you are nearer or further distance from the sensor spot, the measuring spot is 1/10 the distance to the object, which is important, because it tells you where the temperature measurement is coming from. This temp-gun has 4 user-selectable modes (max, min, avg. and dif.) and operates in Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees from a temperature range of -22F to 752F. This tool is useful for checking the surface for hot or cold spots to identify and locate a problem. The tool is light-weight and comfortable in the hand. The LCD display is large and contrast is excellent with clear and crisp, easy-to-read, digits and symbols from head-on, however the viewing angle could be better with the display fading from view from an angle, especially the horizontal viewing angle. The tool operates on a single 9V battery (included) that installs neatly in the handle. A lanyard or belt clip, typically found on Milwaukee tools, is oddly not a feature of this tool, so you will need to store it in a tool belt during transport around the job site. I definitely can recommend this Milwaukee IR Temp-Gun to users who want a compact, easy to use, and reasonably accurate IR thermometer.

Milwaukee’s 10:1 Infrared Temp-Gun has been a reliable temperature measuring tool on just about everything I use it for. Want to know if the hot tub is hot enough? Your grill ready? Is the lake too cold to swim? HVAC, welding, automotive repair – what haven’t I used this tool on? Having a 10:1 distance-to-spot ratio is great for most of my needs. It also has a lot of other features I don’t normally use such as alarms and high & low readings.

Bought this 2 years ago. I’ve used it for my vehicle to check engine temps and more importantly I’ve used it to check temps in my garage prior to better insulating it. I have plumbing that runs through the garage and I constantly checked the temps to determined if I should a heater during the colder days. This displays all the info very well and its easy to use. I was happy with the product and it met all expectations.

This infrared temperature gun is a dandy! It is a good size and weight and has a clear large display. The readings can be switched from Celsius to Fahrenheit and it has lots of other functions that are way over my head. It comes with a 9v battery so it is ready to use. As with all Milwaukee products, this one is sturdy, well built and designed to last for years. Buy with confidence.

We use it to check the temperature of the pizza stone in our pizza oven and it has worked out great. This is also very yseful for checking the temperature of any pan on top of a stove, grill or fire.
