It did the job perfectly. I paint roofs for a living and I took the temperature before and after I painted the roof to show my customer the difference in temperature.

I really like the laser feature and am impressed with the unit’s quality and ease of use. With it I was able to verify that the engine temperature sensor on my truck had gone bad, causing the dash gauge to settle at 230 degrees normal operating temperature although I had recently installed a new 190 degree thermostat and a new fan clutch. This Milwaukee instrument quickly indicated the engine block temperature at the sensor location as being 196 degrees. I installed a new sensor and now the dash gauge settles out in the normal operating range again. I would give this instrument a six if that were possible!!

I used the thermometer one day. Works Great!!! by the end of the day the light stopped working. It seems to still work, but no light to show where you are pointing. The Milwaukee Rep at Home Depot said if ANYTHING goes wrong with it in the 5 year warrantee to bring it back and return or exchange.

Works well. It is well made. I was disappointed because I thought it ran on an M12 battery. Instead, it runs on a 9 volt, which is included.

I gave it a 3 because This thing worked fine for about 3 weeks then the laser beam stopped working, the lcd screen kept working though. i returned it and HD gave me a new one. it’s fairly accurate as i had the a/c repair guys check my vent air with a thermocouple and it was within one degree of their reading.
