The MILWAUKEE M12 Metal Flashlight redefines versatility, brightness, and durability, by delivering up to 800 Lumens of TRUEVIEW High Definition Output. The M12 flashlight casts a beam of TRUEVIEW light over 375 yards and a sliding light head allows for effortless beam adjustment from a flood to spot. The LED flashlight features three output modes (high, low or strobe) for maximum jobsite versatility. The flashlight’s body is built from machined 6000 Series aluminum with a Type II anodized finish for durability. The M12 Metal Flashlight is compatible with all M12 REDLITHIUM batteries and has a Limited Lifetime LED Warranty, the LEDs never need to be replaced.

This kit comes with: LED flashlight, charger, and 1.5Amp hr. battery. The description on Home Depot’s web site indicates the flashlight will run for 5 hours on high mode, but that is with a higher capacity battery than the one included in the kit. After fully charging the battery included in the kit, I got 2 hours and 6 minutes of continuous light on the high mode before it turned itself off. This really is a good amount of time considering the amount of light it puts out. It does get warm after continuous use. I measured it at about 105 deg. f. near the LED light source. Off course holding the flash light back by the battery it was just slightly warm. Soft switches control: on/off and the mode (high, low or strobe).The flash light is made from a very heavy gage aluminum. The body of the flash light is machined to provide a very positive surface to grip even when wet. The head of the flash light can be slid forward or backward to focus the light. It can be focused from broad coverage to a very tight pattern for distant lighting. There is a diffuser built into the lense to keep the beam round as you focus the light for a tighter beam. The flash light can also be set vertically on its end to provide area lighting. There is a built in battery charge indicator on the flashlight so you can determine when to recharge the battery.

This is a great LED flashlight that uses the M12 battery platform. It has a similar feel of weight and quality that you experience from the big Maglites. The aluminum case has a solid feel.The light is really bright and holds a tight beam out to a great distance. It shines pretty far out there even on low setting. It also has a strobe feature that I could completely do without, but a lot of people want that feature.The lens slides back and forward to control the spot and flood features. The focusing is really nice because you never see the square led in the light beam.It is supposed to last 1.5 hours on High, I experienced 1hr 34 minutes on high before it started flashing to let me know it was running low on power. It is supposed to last 2.5 hours on low, but I only got about 2.25 hours on low. One thing I was amazed about is how cool the light stays. I have other high power LED lights, but they can get really hot pretty quickly. Even after being on 1.5 hours, the flashlight was fairly cool. It was warm, but not rocket hot like others I have used.It is a great flashlight, but I am not convinced it is worth the current asking price of $99 for the light and $149 for the kit. There are a lot of lights for half the price doing the same thing.

First time I have ever owned a Milwaukee Tool, and this one is the best of all. I have never seen a flashlight that is so durable, and of such high quality. It has numerous features that are a delight to use. I read the instruction manual cover to cover since I’d never owned a Lithium-Ion high performance flashlight. This is the best of the best, in all respects. I love the adjustable flood light features, the battery fuel gauge, and even the charging unit which is so easy to use. The grip is firm, yet comfortable, but maybe a little heavier than what I’m used to. Pure quality in every aspect. My only request would be a protective lens cover similar to those that are provided with a pair of binoculars.
