Great tool, great price. I ordered online. However, I opened the box and one battery was in the drill. I tried the drill and the battery was dead. I put other battery in and it worked great (half charged). I tried to charge the dead battery and it was dead dead. Other battery charged to full level just fine. There was no way to charge the dead battery. Basic stuff. So I took it back to the local store and they had me return it and order again online. Product not available in the store. Then product arrived days later (fast shipping!), I opened the box and it was exact same problem. Dead battery in the drill, other battery fine. I tried to charge dead battery and nothing. Dead. Other battery charged fine. I took it back to the local store again. This time after speaking with 5 associates they agreed to just swap out the dead battery. It took a charge and I’m on my way. Great drill!

I like the adjustable chuck. it gives additional versatility that is not always available with the speed chick

I think it should hammer a little harder, otherwise its a good drill.

This thing is amazing. I already had the M12 non-hammer drill / driver, which had been working great until I needed to drill some brick. Pondered getting a wired hammer drill, but I’m just done with cables. This drill made quick work of everything; it’s much more powerful than its size suggests. Also had the added bonus I could use the “old” drill in driver mode & quickly switch between them.

have larger 18 volt drill and this is very nice departure from the weight of larger drill and it has plenty of power for most jobs and easily handled.

For maybe 10 years I had the Dewalt DW926 9.6 volt drill/driver. I used it for easily 95% of the drilling and driving tasks around the house. Excellent grip, balance, weight, torque, and run time (with the newer XR batteries). I honestly have nothing bad to say about the DW926 except for bits occasionally loosening in the chuck. I had occasional use for a cordless hammer drill and was tempted by the older Milwaukee M12 2411 model. I was further tempted by its lighter weight, greater compactness, ratcheting chuck, battery meter, and LED, but was put off by the grip. The grip was too chunky, making the thing uncomfortable to use versus the DW926. The grip issue has been fixed in the M12 2408 along with the addition of an LED diffuser, a belt clip, and a now friendlier price. So even though I feel almost guilty kicking the DW926 to the curb, SOLD! This Milwaukee M12 drill/driver checks off all the boxes. Next is the M12 2420 Hackzall which is a beautifully designed tool for which I have all kinds of uses.

Purchased 9/13, sending it to repair shop 2/18 /14.Was laying down hardie board & the clutch broke , needless to say I did not finish. Drills fine , has plenty of power. I long for the days of American quality power tools that lasted for many years trouble free. Too much of a throw away society.

It’s great for around the house when doing small projects or repairs. I also use it at work and the battery lasts all day on the job. It’s small and fits into many tight areas. It’s lighter weight than many other drills (handy being on a ladder) and it’s still powerful enough to do what I need it to do. I have used it for drilling into wood and drilling into metal. I haven’t drilled into concrete or masonry yet, but I’m confident it can make the small holes I need to set a few bolts.

The little drill is powerful. I used on assembling my kids wood swing set. The Lithium battery held up the whole project from the latter to the deck. Before that I used it on Mounting a electric box on the side of my block house. The hammer drill worked great plenty of hammer power. So four masonry holes and a swing set assembled. Still plenty of power very happy with this drill. I added a video to show how it goes though the block like butter.

I had my doubts at first, then I did my homework on these, everyone has said that this was a great little hammer drill and they were right, I used it to drill through 5 inches of cement, 2 rows of bricks and this tool just went through with ease, I highly recommend this to anyone who has to do any little jobs that don’t require a large drill, you won’t be disappointed with this tool, I have drilled quite a few holes with this before the batteries ran down.
