It’s the first subcompact with a spindle lock chuck for maximum versatility and grip. It also features the industry’s first electronic clutch, with 12 torque settings and an LED indicator for fastening with complete control. The M12 REDLITHIUM Battery Pack (sold separately) delivers more work per charge and more work over pack life than the competitors. The onboard fuel gauge helps you monitor the charge precisely, so there’s less downtime on the job, and a built-in LED Light illuminates the work surface. Good torque, easy to use and logical placement of controls. The 2 LEDs are nice; one to light your work and the other, red, to indicate you’ve hit your torque settings. When that happens, the driver stops. Nice.Only suggestion would be to make the head narrower to get into tighter spots. The chuck diameter is the same as my full size DeWalt drill/driver.

This tool worked as designed, I guess, but it didn’t meet my needs. I was trying to use it as a driver in tight spots, and I couldn’t keep enough force on the tool’s heat to keep the driver bit on the screwhead.It’s sold as a drill, so the fault is probably my own, but when I think of a cordless drill, I automatically assume I will also be able to drive screws with it – and I probably COULD have if I had been using it in a position where I could have used my left hand to provide pressure in the tool head.I returned it.

I needed to install side steps on my truck which required me to drill holes in tight spaces. This was an easy task with this drill. It’s an awesome deal with the bag, charger, and battery too. I’d recommend it depending on your application. It does have it’s limitations.

The performance of this right-angle drill was disappointing. It lacked the power to drill with a 1″ spade bit through a double 2×4 top plate. It promptly oveheated and shut down. A change of battery indicated the fully charged, small M12 battery was depleted to 2 dots before even one hole was drilled.A 5/8 hole was drilled without much trouble.Perhaps a FUEL/brushless version of this, which does not exist, would perform better, but this one is probably going back to the store.
