The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 5/8 in. SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Kit provides up to 75% faster drilling, up to 70% less vibration and up to 2X more runtime and the largest SDS Plus bit capacity in its class. Milwaukee has combined its exclusive POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, REDLITHIUM Battery Pack and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence to deliver users optimized performance, overload protection and superior pack construction. The electro-pneumatic design allows for drilling of up to 5/8 in. holes in concrete and masonry. At only 10 in. L and 3.9 lbs., this tool provides performance and runtime that is comparable to a much larger tool, at a fraction of the size and weight. The rotary hammer also features 2-mode operation, rotary hammer and rotation only for maximum versatility, regardless of application or orientation. In addition to the rotary hammer, this kit includes one M12 REDLITHIUM XC 4.0 Extended-Capacity Battery Packs, one M12 Charger and a plastic carrying case.

There is a lot of performance with this hammer drill… LOVE IT!Plus I recommend buying the 1/2″ SDS Chuck for using your non SDS bits. I used a 1/4×12 bit drilling through solid timber in standard drill mode and it was perfect. Also an Irwin 9/16 boring bit with no issues at all. 2 thumbs up!

The Milwaukee 12 volt fuel hammer drill is a good tool with the extra multi tools that came with it was a deal. It’s a drill a hammer drill but does not have a hammer action to it my bad. I want an action hammer. Amazing delivery in 3 days.

My main reason for buying this tool was for the offset drive attachment. The other attachments were a bonus. A lot of my work involves driving fasteners that are tight up against a wall and there is minimal to no clearance for the chuck. As a result, at times, I nick the wall or cock the screw, which in turn affects the positioning of the item I am fastening. Side Note: My main tool platform is 18V Makita and I have an M18 Milwaukee Hammer drill and Hack’s All. I really didn’t want to start a 3rd tool platform (M12) but this tool had what I wanted. Also, I’ve had my eye on the M18 Super Charger, which also charges M12 and I’m interested in the M12-3/8″ Long Torque Wrench so I figured “go for it”! The drill is light, fits good in the hand, the push button w/lock option is handy and all in all it performs well. The first day I used it, I had a crazy situation where I had to install two self-tapping screws. The drill worked perfect so I had to take a picture :).

Over 90% of the time that I need a hammerdrill, it is for drilling anchor holes in concrete and this tool is suited perfectly for that. This tool doesn’t drill as fast as a coorded hammerdrill, but not having a coord means time saved from not having to locate an electrical outlet and then having to untangle and roll up one or more extension coords. As an electrician, this tool is always on site when running EMT conduit and IMC.
