The MILWAUKEE M12 FUEL 5/8 in. SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Kit provides up to 75% faster drilling, up to 70% less vibration and up to 2X more runtime and the largest SDS Plus bit capacity in its class. Milwaukee has combined its exclusive POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, REDLITHIUM Battery Pack and REDLINK PLUS Intelligenceto deliver users optimized performance, overload protection and superior pack construction. The electro-pneumatic design allows for drilling of up to 5/8 in. holes in concrete and masonry. At only 10 in. long and 3.9 lbs., this tool provides performance and runtime that is comparable to a much larger tool, at a fraction of the size and weight. The rotary hammer also features 2-mode operation; rotary hammer and rotation only for maximum versatility, regardless of application or orientation. In addition to the rotary hammer, this kit includes two M12 REDLITHIUM XC 4.0 Extended-Capacity Battery Packs, one M12 Charger and a plastic carrying case.

This little 12v can keep up with the best. I have the big m18 fuel 1 1/8” and it works great of course. I got this one because its light weight and can fit in tight spaces. And as far as drilling 1/2” holes for drop in anchors it is extreamly impressive on speed and battery life for being such a tiny tool.

Over 90% of the time that I need a hammerdrill, it is for drilling anchor holes in concrete and this tool is suited perfectly for that. This tool doesn’t drill as fast as a coorded hammerdrill, but not having a coord means time saved from not having to locate an electrical outlet and then having to untangle and roll up one or more extension coords. As an electrician, this tool is always on site when running EMT conduit and IMC.

On a M12 6.0 Ahr battery I was able to drill about 15 ea. 1/2×6″ holes in concrete followed by 5 ea 1/2×18″ through the same holes.No bad at all for a battery powered roto hammer drill, especially a smaller one. Great size and convenience.
