It was bought as a gift for someone who had previously used one & liked the versatility of the tool & relatively quick charging of the battery…

Rating would have been “Excellent”, however the wood/plastic/cardboard blade appears to dull prematurely (I only used it to cut cardboard boxes, so far).

This is the fifth one that I have bought. I really like them, with their small size you can get in some tight spots that you need to do some cutting In.

Not as strong as I expected…. OK for really small stuff but bigger branches give it trouble…Would recommend 18 V version for bigger projects

It vibrates a little more than I like but overall it is a great addition to my tool collection.

I bought this reciprocating saw to chop some downed limbs in my yard to make them small enough to fit in my fire pit. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The tool itself seemed to function just fine, but the blades that were included wouldn’t even cut limbs that were 2-3 in around. If the blades were the only problem, it could’ve been easily remedied with a set of better blades, but it wasn’t. The blade-release collar kept getting stuck when I would try to switch out the blades. When I was trying to switch out the blades I had to remove the battery beforehand because the trigger lock was very close to the trigger and main body of the saw, which is where you’d hold the saw while removing the blade, and the trigger lock is very easy to hit by accident; I had read the information about the trigger lock in another review, but assumed the individual was just being picky. (that’ll teach me).

Great tool for an electrician. This is actually my second one, the first lasted about 4 years and I put a LOT of miles on it. Only thing I would change would be to add a pocket clip like the m12 drill, to climb ladders (I mostly use it for cutting overhead secondaries). Not a true seawall, I still need an m18 for some things, but the little one is very handy for lots of things. The blade can tilt to one side or the other which can be annoying, but as long as you apply lateral pressure correctly it’s not an issue.

Does exactly what I needed for

I needed a smaller saw than my full sized Sawzall and this looked good, also a promo price so I bit.Totally did the job I had in mind and I’ve used it since. The battery goes down if used heavily after a while but long enough to get you through most jobs.. I’d recommend using gloves as the grip is comfortable but will give you a blister on your knuckle if held with pressure.. I’m a righty and my pointer finger at the joint got a bit sore.. 2nd time used.. no problem with standard work gloves.
